the punter out by making him run back on the field last yr, How dare Paul Johnson ask his Offensive lineman if he is stupid or grab his kicker, we cant practice because its too hot, lets postpone HS football games because its raining, the teacher better not single out my kid by making him stand with his nose in the corner if he misbehaves, Little League pitchers should wear chest protectors, we shouldnt keep scores in athletics before HS because losing may hurt their feelings.
We are quickly becoming a country full of pansies.

life threating accident. Or being killed by another kid, by just walking into a class room these days, than any dangers out in our world today. Other than putting our children in a safety bubble untill they are 21. The risk are out there lurking. One of those ###### if you do, or ###### if you don't sort of things.

Completely Agree We are afraid of competition and hard work!

We are trying to create a feel good environment indicating that life is fair and we are all winners. We no longer teach our kids that you start at the bottom and earn your way to the top by hard work and persistence.
Words like, responsibility, loyalty, respect, dedication, and discipline mean very little to a lot of people these days. They are looking for someone else to solve their problems or make them successful.

Yes, I heard your argument that it's just a few that were accidents. But if protective equipment can prevent an accident and save a life, why not wear it?

we're talking about the pitcher in coach-pitch? I agree with you, heck yeah he should wear protection! Often, he's a young 7-year-old kid standing 45 feet from home plate. Some of the good 8-year-olds are 90 pound kids hitting rockets. The adults pitchers sometimes can't get out of the way of those hard-hit balls.
