Windows 10 upgrade is free for another few days....

Do I upgrade from 7 or not? Pros/cons? I read that the eventual plan is to start charging users a monthly subscription, since Windows is now a "service", but peeps that upgrade now would prob be grandfathered in....
Any other yays or nays?

it's really not a big deal.
It's a little tougher finding settings, but if all you do on your computer is use microsoft office/get on internet like me, you really won't see much of a difference.

i probably wouldn't even be contemplating it
and the info I read about the fees, is that the business/enterprise versions WILL have fees, and the thought was that that may trickle down to personal users eventually...

No big deal, other than selling your privacy up the river

But if you have a cell phone (android or apple) you've already done that.

the inevitable problem with not upgrading....

is that eventually programs and software you need (tax software, anti-virus, etc) won't be supported anymore with older versions.
May as well go ahead and do it now. It's not that bad. Haven't had many problems, though I only use about 5% of the features probably. I've disabled most of the stuff I don't use/understand.
