Covid is in the same spot as the seasonal flu vaccine, imo, and it should be voluntary across the country (like the flu vax) AND readily available to anybody who wants it.

But in my family, we're getting doctor's prescriptions for the Covid vaccines. If you go to a pharmacy with that, you should be able to get a covid vaccine in Georgia.
Can your mom try and get the prescription through a patient portal?

Every single one of those vaccines removed from the mandatory list save lives. Even chicken pox, which yes, still kills kids every year in the U.S.
The cartoon itself is an overall mockery of MAGA and what will be, if not stopped, RFK's attempt to link basic immunization to autism, which has and always will be utter bull ####. Mentally ill people think otherwise.
The anti-vax movement used to be a product of nutbag left wing hippies out in California. But then MAGA people lost their mind over the Covid vaccines and start listening to their bull ####; RFK Jr., another leftwing mentally ill person, escalated it.
Now we have cases rising across the nation because mentally ill MAGAs have started to climb on board this anti vax train of idiocy.
THAT is the mental illness.

The government and medical community totally wrecked their credibility with covid, this is the very foreseeable consequence of it. Doubling down with hubris is only going to make it worse.

Yeah, what a joke that Covid vaccine was...

And it's hard to even put into words how stupid it is for anyone to dismiss decades of proven prevention and eradication of diseases due to vaccines because their favorite Twitter site claimed Covid vaccines were the debil.

may go maskless, really illustrates my overall point of how much pure bulllshit surrounded the entire ordeal and why people have become so skeptical. But we'll double down, call them bad names, act holier than thou and continue to wonder why people increasingly don't "trust the science".
You know what else happened about 6 months after that graphic ends? We had another big spike in cases and deaths.

Didn't you just get done calling everyone who disagrees with you on this topic mentally ill? Is this gonna be one of those "MAGA can dish it out but really can't take it" moments?
Let's go back to the graph. Is there an explanation for why the Covid cases plummeted for some reason other than the vaccines that I'm missing?

here. Of course, I do find most of the covidians (and that's what they are, because it is a religion to them) to be mentally ill...because they have displayed it repeatedly. Take CA's meme for instance, the measles vaccine is still on the required list, and then he tries to insult people for not being able to read? Classic display.
I can, seasonality and natural immunity...Same thing we see with flu. If it was only due to vaccines, why would we have seen another spike 6 months later?

Firstly, the spike claim is false.

At least, not due to the vaccine--it was due to the waning immunity from the vaccine dose. What happened when the second dose was administered? More decline.
Who here is a "Covidian" and treats it like a religion? Seems to me the people who supported the vaccine were pro-science that works. The vaccine worked and the science is sound.

It also coincided with fall/winter which is also when we see flu cases spike. Not to mention, we knew all along it would weaken over time and the different variants would flame out eventually. That's what coronavirus's do.
dude, there were a ton of them on here. CA was one of the biggest for sure. I knew people that got fired from their job because they didn't want the covid vaccine....The push to give it to everybody was INSANE. Now the people who pushed the most want to re-write history about what actually happened. No, no little hippo...Many of us will never forget.
If you had preexisting conditions and were over 65 or so, OK...I get it. That was probably prudent and where we saw the most benefit. Even if you weren't and wanted to get it, fine with me. However, demanding I get it or be ostracized from society is something I won't forget, and pushing it on kids who were at almost zero statistical risk was absolutely ridiculous. That was absolutely not pro science, it was full on mob mentality fueled by government propaganda.
These MFers tried to sell us on the fact that this came from some obscure animal in China, despite there being a bio lab within throwing distance of the outbreak. Then they told us masks didn't work so chill out. Then they mandated we all wear them everywhere. Wear your mask to stand in line then you can take it off when you get inside, totally logical! Then we were sold the 99% efficacy BS...Well that dropped to 90%, 80%, 70%...but you still better get it or get fired or your children can't go back to school!
And y'all are on here wondering why people are skeptical all of the sudden. Then having the gall to mock people for doing so. Quite frankly, I find anyone who isn't questioning how much other stuff they've been lied to about to be....naive, and that's being very nice about it.
My kids are vaccinated, but ####### if you told me you had an F250 for sale and when I get there to take a look it's actually a Toyota Camry, I'm not going to trust you after that so I get where people are coming from.

Yeah, there was that Omicron Megatron Whatever wave during that time, but it was a new variant and it was winter time, as you said. The cases dropped the next winter. How does that discredit the vaccine?
Did people go crazy the other way? Of course. No one should have lost their job and the government shouldn't have tried to mandate Covid vaccines. That's a given. But the idea that it discredits the whole medical community is hogwash.
"No, no little hippo"?
Isn't that a reference to a children's book about safety?
However, demanding I get it or be ostracized from society is something I won't forget, and pushing it on kids who were at almost zero statistical risk was absolutely ridiculous. That was absolutely not pro science, it was full on mob mentality fueled by government propaganda.
That's not what we were discussing. We were discussing the vaccine's effectiveness and the credibility of the medical community.
And y'all are on here wondering why people are skeptical all of the sudden. Then having the gall to mock people for doing so. Quite frankly, I find anyone who isn't questioning how much other stuff they've been lied to about to be....naive, and that's being very nice about it.
Dismissing the entire efforts and members of the medical community as a whole because of a few radicals is just as foolish as those radicals.
My kids are vaccinated, but ####### if you told me you had an F250 for sale and when I get there to take a look it's actually a Toyota Camry, I'm not going to trust you after that so I get where people are coming from.
Except the actual analogy is that they sold you a reliable truck and you want to no longer buy cars from them because a few idiot drivers joined you on the road and a few municipalities fined you for silly ####.

My 7 month old daughter has been advised to get the Covid vaccine by our pediatrician citing the American academy of pediatrics. It was available in August at the sixth month appointments. Now, her pediatrician, the main children’s hospital, 2 county vaccination centers can no longer offer the shot and have all referenced policy changes.
You can’t say there has been zero impact to choices.
