even their cheer/chant last night had ""go ta' hellllllll Duke"" included, at a Clemson football game -- I had to ask a Tarhole fan,if I was hearing right ???__ he said it's all about the ""basketball"" and last nights game was just a little add on,they had not expected ^^^^ ___ same reason they booed the ""legends"" from rival schools --- guess the attitude comes from sipping wine & eating all that cheese ??? they must be full of s____it *****

I had some Tar Hole yell at me as we left the stadium: "well you guys have not beaten us in basketball in like 30 years, so there." We should fill the arena in Greenville this year when they come to play.

You are exactly right. I live in Charlotte and had to listen to the Tar Holes all week talk about knocking us off with their genius coach (you know the one who went for 2 with no reason and ran that hideous fake punt). I think they all sold their tickets when they found out that they did not sell Chardonnay and Brie in the stands.

I would estimate at least 85%.....team ranked 10th in the nation, playing in NC and you send what, 10,000 fans or less???What a fan base...suppose the cool conditions and outside venue too 'harsh' for the Carolina types.
CONGRATULATIONS on WIN, ORANGE Bowl, #1 ranking and ACC Championship.
Enjoyed sitting in a Clemson section last night with your fans.

There is THAT. About the attendance disparity Saturday night: should be noted that UNC brought 60K fans to BOA Stadium for the 2004 Tire Bowl, and could've sold at least that many for this game. Y'all had a 3 week head start gobbling up tickets, plus the team allotment was only 5500 seats per school (which you guys sold out quick and got 6K more; UNC only managed to get an extra 2500 after they clinched). I'm not going to pretend that our fan support for FB is even close to what you guys have, but attendance Saturday night was in no way indicative of a lack of interest on the part of Tar Heel fans.

Oh puleeze I decided at the last minute I was taking off work and went to the game, got seats (stub hub) on the 30 yard 4th row up no problem. With all that money Tarjerks brag about having they could have shown up better than that. Plus there were empty seats throughout that stadium. Half of your fan base had Jordan high top sneakers on like it was 1999 and you could tell didn't know how to act at a football game. No real chant, no fighting spirit just a weak wristed bunch of panzies. When our fans kept harassing you guys in line with C-L-E-M-S-O-N, T-I-G-E-rrrrrrrrr S, fight tigers, fight tigers fight fight fight, you guys got bug eyed and held your children closer like you were scared. It was sad.

The proof is not at a championship game. Everybody wants to see that. What was your attendance for any Division 2 schools? That's where gauge your fan support. And yes, ours were sold out including the first game.

when the Heels beat 'em on a Thursday night. UNC appeared, pretty much in their place, the next week
not sure what week it was... 8 or 9 in the AP poll
Duke was ranked up until the week they got spanked by the Heels
D.U. and UNC looked set to play with both teams ranked for the first time in decades, and then the Miami 'return' debacle knocked Duke out of the rankings

Seems the contract says they displace the next ranked ACC team and take all the money home. The games with ND are great but the cost isn't worth it.

past over by the CFB for playoffs or NYD 6-- The playoff committee put FSU over UNC in the Peach when they ranked them ahead of UNC and FSU is the better team-- they got it right
