So...IF Kamara transferred here

How do you think that would shake up the position battle at RB for Coach Elliot? I mean, we've got Dye still recovering from back surgery, not even ready for contact drills yet. Gallman bulked up and has been tearing it up in practice, vying for that starting job. In all honesty, Howard has been so inconsistent he may just be the leading candidate for "biggest disappointed in recruit-development" award. Brooks is getting there, but struggles with maintaing weight and staying healthy.
Could it be that a few of these guys get moved over to DB, leaving the job virtually a walk-in for Kamara? (I'm thinking Gallman as the certified back-up)
Thoughts?

Forgot about that. Would that mean he would have only 3 years of eligibility left when all is said and done?

Here is your choice people. Eric Swinney or Alvin Kamara. Eric has 5 to play 4 highly rated and a potential stud. Alvin has 3 to play 3 and already didn't work out with one team. You can only have one. That is the nature of recruiting.

Its not just think about that for a moment. If this were the case ever redshirt freshman in america could tranfer. Teams wouldn't redshirt kids for fear of them getting angry and tranfering. You woulf lose half your recruiting class to kids that realize tlits gonna be a few year before they will start.

the back thing worries me. that could be something that limits or eliminates play as time goes on. I hope not for Dye's sake

You almost took my words out of my mouth. Choice is going to be I truly believe, one of our best true RBs to come through Clemson in a long time. He is the one recruit that I keep going back and looking at his recruiting film. Choice is going to be a stud IMO. He has some very Powerful legs that keep him up and moving even in heavy traffic. And he is quick getting out of a congested area, and he can turn on the burners.

This kid is the REAL deal!

I saw him tear it up at the Georgia high school football playoffs, he was basically unstoppable. He also has high character and is a very well spoken young man. Word is he just doesn't like Bama, to many rednecks i am thinking. He would be our number one running back, make no mistake about it.

I'm sure you are sincere in your post but I seriously doubt this is all on Bama and their fan base. Nice back but we dont need a problem or disruption to team chemistry

One would assume he has talked to Clemson coaches, but with our stable of RBs and with the number of recruits we have committed, would we take him? Certainly not a sure thing.

He wouldn't have to sit a year...

Because he didn't play last year. Whatever team he goes to, he'll be eligible in the fall. With that said, barring injury, I don't think he'd see much playing time for us at all. Maybe about as much as DJ Howard seen this year.

That is incorrect. If that were the case ever redshirt freshman could just switch teams after there freeman year. This writer has no clue what he is talking about and I promise Clemson will have no interest in taking on a bama reject.

We should definitely take him imo

We don't have a sure starter for next season. Yes we have alot of RBs on our roster but none of them are proven starters. Dye could never play football again due to his back, DJ has been inconsistent and could transfer, oglesby most likely won't be here next due to his grades, and CJ Fuller will most likely move to DB. I see this as a great opportunity for Kamara to come in and give it a shot.

If the kid was really that good do you think bama would let him go. Plus he would have to sit a year.

Why wouldn't we consider taking him? A ton of you on here whine about Clemson not taking JUCO players. This is about like getting a JUCO kid.

A juco player can play right away plus this guy already has had one coaching staff say he wasn't good enough. I think you will see him go the Juco route and try to prove to other coaches he can play.

There's rumors of him having discipline problems at Bama. Then again, if there is a staff in the country that can turn a kid around it's ours.
