A team that wins ALL of their games deserves a chance to compete for a title regardless of if people think they are one of the “best” teams. Otherwise, let’s just not play at all and decide the record based on Vegas point spreads. That’s what you propose if you want to pick the “4 best.” The results on the field determine who that is, and a team that blew it with a 29-game streak on the line isn’t worthy of getting a chance. Cotton…… I agree I think Georgia is one of the four best teams or at least five best. I just don’t see them getting in over Texas and Alabama.
Even with Travis Jordan, I did not think FSU was a top four team.
And I agree, with all respect to our good friend Bret, screw FSU and screw Norville.
As far as the ACC, I could care less about it. They have screwed us so many times. We will be in a different conference anyways. My attitude towards the ACC is much like Texas’s towards the big 12

Totally agree. For me this is all about being objective. By all objective measures they have no case. They beat Ole Miss, Missouri, and Tennessee of any quality. FSU beat LSU, Clemson and Louisville while winning a championship and not losing. The only arguments for UGA are subjective - “eye test” and “SEC”.

FSU has wins at Clemson...they'll have wins over ranked Louisville...over Duke when they had their QB...and over LSU....and at Florida...
UGA has a couple of home wins over Ole Miss and Mizzou. Oh, and they won in Knoxville.

BS! FSU did everything needed to check the boxes...didn't lose. UGA did, period. In every FSU game the scoreboard hoped that they did enough to win every single time. Georgia did not. Undefeated Power 5 conference champion should never play second fiddle to a 1 loss non- conference champion. There is no valid argument.
