Now, you can argue that you should be paid for all the millions you bring, but to say you cant afford to eat is ridiculous. BB and football players get a training tables that even the other athletes dont get.
i might have sympathy for some other argument but to say you are going hungry is absurd.

There is a very real and rational argument that they should be paid for the money they bring into the program (not saying I agree or disagree), but to suggest that he is somehow in the boat of having no food to eat and is in danger of starving is laughable.

Personally I don't think it is a rational argument to say they should be paid for money they bring to the university. If they want to complain to the NFL for making college football the only real route to the NFL then that is okay, but college football gives them a way to the NFL and they should be thankful not greedy.
