Cry all you want, but that was not on the coaching, the

players literally melted down

Why would you not call a timeout there...

and set-up the defense.

Absolutely no excuse for leaving the shooter wide-a$$ open in that situation.

Your best shooter missing four consecutive F's is another matter entirely.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Out best FT shooters went 1-6 to ice the game, THAT is why

Jan 26, 2019, 4:16 PM

we lost PERIOD

We missed both FT’s. We couldn’t call timeout***

I believe Brownell could have made some of those free throws down the stretch. Pitiful.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think I could have gone 2-6, but we would have still lost

I agree, but that was his job right there imo. We will not go to the tournament this year and we will not go next year. His buyout after next season is 450k. He is a dead man walking as far as coaching at Clemson.

I don't know whose fault it was that we lost the game. All I know is that good teams do not lose that game. However, no one has accused us of being a good team!

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No confidence, free throws are all about confidence .....

Jan 26, 2019, 4:27 PM

we were scared and just trying to hang on , ...

Not that it was 1 player, but the loss is on 1 player today

Jan 26, 2019, 4:19 PM

Hate it but it’s fact

Re: Not that it was 1 player, but the loss is on 1 player today

Jan 26, 2019, 4:23 PM

It was 3 players imo...Reed, Mitchell, and Clyde(Just down the stretch)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I disagree

Jan 26, 2019, 4:21 PM

Pretty sure he’s been here long enough, including 2 years with the new facility, that the overall lack of talent in this program is completely his fault.

That Lack of Talent was up 5 under 30 seconds to go on

the road vs a ranked opponent and went 0-4 from the stripe with an 84% shooter to lose it

Right on cue excuse birds blaming it on the players. So I guess by that logic Dabo has nothing to do with our national championship football team? The players just decided to win the championship on their own ?

The coach is responsible for every W and every L, Excuses are for losers

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I am blaming the players for going 1-6 down the stretch up 5***

So if we are up 4 points and running the ball to try and get a first down to ice the game but we fumble and they run it back for a TD it would be Dabos fault?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

In the end winners win and losers make excuses

Great, then hopefully that means that you are all for

paying more money for our next coach, to get a proven winner at the high major level, rather than making the same excuse about “we’re a football school and don’t expect much from basketball.”

"Everybody needs to know that Coach Brownell is arguably the best coach to come through Clemson." -PJ Hall

two 80-plus-% FT shooters go 1 - 6

Jan 26, 2019, 5:38 PM

in the last 30 seconds of the game

doesn't get much more frustrating than that

should have been a great win....
