Smallish crowd comes up big last night ... is this

an indication of what happens when you get the fans who really care about the game down on the sidelines close to the action?
The fans last night seemed more in to the game than crowds twice as large during the regular season.
This should serve as an example for decisions on seating in the new arena.

Wait a second.....

I thought the campaign was to get the students on the slidlines close to the action.
Now it's the fans who care about the game.
Are you implying that students aren't real fans and don't really care about the game?

I think that the fans last night whether students or not, were real fans.
They came early, took advantage of open seating and raised he!! down near the action, where they belong.
Not sure how many students were actually there last night, but those that were there are real fans ... yep.

And therein lies the question:

It is as it's always been: the fat cats aren't the folks to have close to the floor. Last night also shows that older folks aren't necessarily doomed to be dour. I saw a bunch of folks perilous close to our age (well, my age ... your's requires carbon dating!) having a great time, as we did back in the day in Littlejohn.
My contention has always been that students should be on the floor because they aren't as encumbered by a need for decorum. It was nice to see some older folks reveling in that abandon as well.
Now, if there's some way I could get to the next game, y'all would see some serious Silverback reveling ... otherwise carry on and raise ####!

Students weren't there, they are on spring break. In my opinion, no one can #### on the students until the paying fans actually fill the arena.

IDK what you say or how you say it. The students deserve their share of the floor seats. If it wasn't for the students, it wouldn't be an athletic program. And its the students that are socializing with the athletes on a daily basis, and at times on a personal level. Give them an entire section, and I would never fret over it for a second.
