Disgusting and infuriating that our government has created a situation

which has provided massive income streams for drug cartels by encouraging people to come here in droves based on the belief that they will be allowed in no matter what. If they knew they probably wouldn't be allowed in without due process, far fewer would come in the first place; it really is that simple. The solution is to stop letting them in without traditional due process. Instead, they believe they will be allowed into the U.S. no matter what, so they become prey for the drug cartels to exploit in all kinds of horrific, inhumane ways. Our border policy drives every bit of this.
A commitment to real border security and policy that puts the good of U.S. citizens ahead of concern for migrants is the answer, and it could be done today by a government who had those priorities.

aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Gaza. Total BS that never had a chance. It wasn't really a border bill, it was a foreign aid bill. If they want to fix the border, they could do all of it today, and leave out anything not border-related. I don't give Trump or pubs a pass by any means, but dems don't get a pass either. It was political theater by all parties.

You are warped. Nowhere have I mentioned pubs or dems, or Biden or Trump, except to say that neither gets a pass, and it was political theater by all involved.
You, however, immediately assumed I was being partisan, since that is your narrow, limited perspective, and the only way you view everything, from the weather to dogs to food to of course, politics.

We were discussing the BIPARTISAN Border Bill in which YOU were complaining about it being an aid bill to UKR. I was was reminding you (since you were suffering from amnesia) the reasons why the two issues were tied together and you went off on the "hyperpartisan" response. So much projection. 😆

I started this whole thread pointing out that our government has created this problem and is not fixing it. No mention of any side or party. Someone responded bringing up the bipartisan bill, criticizing Trump. That made it partisan. My direct response to that once again was not partisan, as I noted the bill was "political theater by ALL INVOLVED". I subsequently pointed out that neither side gets a pass. YOUR response was 100%, blatantly, unapologetically partisan. I simply pointed that out AFTER you and others had already introduced the partisan perspective.

instead, they are the reason there are cartels and drugs along our southern border. Our laws are draconian enough when it comes to trafficking. But every time some New York hedge fund manager snorts a rail off a stripper's thong, a n innocent child is shot in Juarez.

I know right? Let’s blame anyone but the illegal brown people bc that would be racist right? Please pleeeease don’t blame the drug cartels, it’s not their fault we do drugs. God forbid you say something negative about an illegal immigrant or a drug cartel. You’d be racist then. You just can’t have that, can you? Maybe you should volunteer to be a sponsor home.
