I've had warnings for far worse...
But I'm just an unassuming white guy.

Did he actually get arrested, or did the article just

misstate that he was "cited" for two misdemeanors. That is absurd if you are arrested for driving w/out a license and not wearing a seat belt. Both offenses wouldn't carry a fine of more than $400-500 combined.

I'm sure he started running his mouth, telling the Cops what he was going to do. So they showed him he was going to do what they told him to do.

I've seen that go both ways in GA. I know of some who were just told to call someone to pick them up and some that were cuffed and transported.
He should have brought his credentials, plain and simple.

So does that make him a bad kid. When one of ours makes a mistake we say hopefully he'll learn from it. Give the kid a break. All minor stuff.

It was my understanding that Briscoe decomitted from Clemson after rethinking his future . I remember his tweet saying it wasn't right for him . I don't recall our having " pulled his offer " .

I don't know the truth, but I wouldn't expect him to have Tweeted, "wow! Clemson just pulled my offer."

Ithe worst crime

If that's the worst crime he commits in his youth he'll be fine. Why even bother arresting him?

It's important to establish the rap sheet early, so that there's no possibility of future minor traffic incidents going unprosecuted.
It's just the small Southern town's way of helping the children.

Traffic laws are set up by the state and they differ

Ive been pulled over for speeding. . Sometimes I'm let go sometimes I'm charged.
In Tennessee you can go straight to jail if you are doing 20+ mph over.
I'd say it's dependant on your attitude. You get lippy and you will get pinched.
Neither side of the story is given here. Just facts.

either the police were being too strict, or if there's more to the story.

No license and not wearing a seat belt? Really

He must of been a smartA to the officer. Stuff like that has happened to most of us and usually that is a warning and a $25 ticket for the seat belt.

Don't know the details, but there is a difference between

driving without a valid license on your person, and driving with no valid license issued.
I do know that even in SC if you get stopped and you do not possess a valid license (suspended, never issued) they will take you directly to jail after the second offense.
