Tough SEC schedule

Remember when the argument was an SEC schedule prepares teams like Alabama to win the natty. Now the argument (excuse) is the SEC schedule hinders teams like Alabama from winning against teams in weaker conferences like the acc. Kind of ironic isn’t it?

The SEC cannot play pass defense because they don't have to. Its three up the middle in a cloud of dust. Then when they play a real offense they get curb stomped.Even Jimbo looks like a genius at TA&M because he knows how to throw the ball.

The SEC had 2 teams on the top 10 in passing yards last year compared to 1 ACC team, and 4 teams in the top 25 compared to 2 in the ACC. A&M was 5th in the SEC in passing.

Both are lucky with easy schedules and thus both "should" be Undefeated.

It all cyclical (after all SEC West is down right now - could not have said that a couple of years ago) ... I agree both these teams should go through their schedules unscathed.

Weaker simply because the Tigers are stronger now, or the opponents have gotten worse? If that's the case, wouldn't the same apply...elsewhere? It's not Clemson's, Bama's, or any other programs' faults that schedules, prepped years in advance, don't measure up when it's time to kick-off. Heck, Ole Miss and Okie State were on the schedule 5+ years ago and...'poof', they were gone.

Thought it had more to do with (projected) top 20-25 teams on their schedules, not projected wins or losses ... but I could be wrong.

I don't want to point out the obvious but you made your SOS argument on the strength of #56 compared to # 59. I'm sorry but I can't buy that thin analysis.
