The NCAA set up a threshold recently of 50 percent for teams playing needed to have an NCAA fall championship and now each NCAA Division I fall sport has fallen below that.
FBS football's championship, with Clemson and more involved, doesn't fall in that category with it being governed by the College Football Playoff. Would have an effect on Clemson soccer, volleyball and cross country.

Ouch. That's too bad.
Well, of course let's hope for spring. In the life of a pandemic, six months is huge. Not that it will be over by then, but we'll all know how to function better in the new normal.
I can't imagine the delay would be convenient, but the schedule change would probably not be career-breaking for any of these student-athletes. Smaller team rosters, less fan interaction, less rigorous training, less economic impact, no professional draft awaiting the graduates--this is not as devastating as trying to shift football to spring.
Regardless of what sport we play, or when it's played--Go Tigers.
