Tom Allen needs to come out of the box and get on

sidelines so he can provide some leadership for our defensive players and coaches. Clemson always has had a history of very active coordinators on the sidelines. Personally from what I’ve seen I wish we had given Wes one more year to prove himself. The Venables defensive scheme in my opinion is the best in all of college football. No doubt Riley got to go. We should never go all in on any QB anymore as the last two have brought our program to its knees. Be willing to get one out of portal if needed. This loyalty thing has become one way now as they demand money to stay.

The coaches obviously know way more than any of us but heres my point with him being in the bix on Saturdays...
Who runs the practice on a daily basis??? Whos voice do the players hear as a collective defensively on a daily basis???
All winter, spring, fall camp all we hesrd was his voice on a speaker throughout practice all Over the defemsive practice fields!!! Players from every position group commented on it at some point or another...
So if you are the main voice they hear M-F then why in the #### would your voice be missing from the sideline and they hear other voices instead on gameday???
Not very consistent and at the most important time...gameday!!!

That is an excellent point and you are correct.........he NEVER shuts up. Never. Which leads me to believe he talks so much that the players have tuned him out.
Like, When that chatterbox neighbor or that motormouth wife rattles on constantly, do you hang on every word?? NOT!! You tune em out!

There was no need to give Wes another year "to prove himself"...it was obvious he was in over his head.

I was saying the same. Venables was on the sidelines, and his fire and passion bled over to the players. It's see the comment about how he is the voice they hear all week etc etc...but these are kids, and when your head guy isn't there in the trenches with you, to chew you out when you need it, etc, then you're almost like the kid who's parents are out of town who all of a sudden has lost all their responsibilities.
So, I couldn't agree more that he needs to be on the sidelines, sure seems like the D could use, needs, that guidance (and structure) right there in their faces, all game long.

BV's place was on the sidelines. Wes moved from the box where he was a genius to the sidelines where he was not the same when BV moved on. Allen needs to be where his strengths prevail. Unsure wwhere that is.

This is kind of funny. When Wes was on the sidelines, people said he should be in the booth. Now, Allen is in the booth and people say he should be on the sidelines.
We are a fickle bunch…
