So after this year...you could win 10 conference games and only be .500 in conference. I guess this means December conference games as well... And further impact on non-conference schedule.
Next year could be a longggg year for Clemson hoops.

influence of making the NCAA going forward. We essentially are just replacing 2 marginal non-conf opponents with stronger ones improving the overall SOS year to year. There will be plenty of 9-11 and possibly 8-12 type records that make it depending how you did in the non-conf slate.

I assume you mean the 2019-2020 season. The conference schedule is:
Home and away against Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, NC State, Va Tech, Wake Forest Home against Duke, Miami, Notre Dame, Syracuse Away against Boston College, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Virginia

Dang, just split the basketball into two divisions with round robins... North and South or "Football vs Basketball"
Nawth: BC Cuse Pitt ND Louisville Virginia Virginia Tech
Play a division championship game in New York/Philly/DC
South: Wake State Duke Cheat Clemson GT Florida State Miami
Play a division championship game in Greensboro. The two division winners play in swofford back yard for the ACC title.
or
"Football" Clemson Florida State Miami Virginia Tech Georgia Tech Notre Dame BC Pitt
Winner will get an automatic bid for the NIT and an extra star on their recruits.
And the rest play for ACC title.

It's not any different. We know our football conference opponents many years in advance, just like basketball. Notice they didn't announce the dates of the games...just the matchups.

Everyone have three teams they play every year. Rotate five. We get GT (H) FSU (H) and NCSU (A)
Yr 1. (Home) SU Pitt. (Away) Duke. VT. UNC
Yr 2. (Home) Miami. UVa. BC. (Away) WF. UL.
Yr 3. Same as yr 1 with opposite field
Yr 4. Same as yr 2 with opposite field
In 2 years you play everyone in conference — by time kid graduates have played everyone twice.
Partition for championship to be two with best records. May have repeat games but have that possibility now. Obviously two best teams may not meet in championship but no difference (Pitt was not the 2nd best team this year)

Said you could play a conference championship game with less than 12 teams in a division. At the time they were mad about the back door deal the ACC has with ND and they thought Swoffy was going to pull some shenanigans to allow them to qualify for the ACC championship game without being full-time members. The ACC tried to say that every conference should have full control as to how the championship game participants are determined and that divisions weren’t required.
