Yes, we just need success to breed more success. Maybe a new RBU can help resuscitate WRU?

Just staying healthy would be a great Summer. We know what they're capable of.

I've seen some negative comments about Shipley on this site and I really am a huge fan of him. First off, I know the Shipleys that played for Texas, especially the father who lives near me. I was kidding him when he was on staff at Texas that this was his long lost son and to go get him.
All members of that Shipley family are fast and the speed didn't come from the Shipley side. Long story short, the mom's side was super athletic. The dad played LB for Abilene Christian where I got to know him.

They are not related at all to your version of the Shipley family, but our Jordan is our all time leading WR in number of catches and was offensive rookie of the year with the Bengals in 2010 before he blew out his knee. Younger brother Jackson just had a run of bad luck as Mackie Brown had thrown in the towel by then.

People were questioning your Shipleys speed when he got run down from an angle, but I can guarantee ya he's fast enough for the next level and Emmitt Smith is the all time rushing leader in the NFL and ran a 4.79 for NFL scouts in the days before the big combine in Indianapolis. Jimmy Johnson, the all time best judge of talent in my opinion, wanted him really badly and the rest is history.

Will Shipley runs hard and has a ton of heart and hates losing. I love the guy. Mafah is good, too. You're very fortunate to have a couple of good RBs without one hitting the portal these days.
We Horns are loaded at RB this year in spite of losing Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson to the NFL. Johnson came in as a dual threat QB and offered to move to RB and he was outstanding as an understudy for Bijan the past few years. You have to love the guy's attitude and a total team player, much like Will Shipley and Phil Mafah and in the days of me first people, those guys are a God send. Consider yourselves blessed as football fans to get to watch these guys.

Sark chose Maalik Murphy over Cade Klubnik and it's not like we would have landed Klubnik, but I was still a little bummed. Murphy did look fantastic in the spring game which means about as much as me running for president, but he still showed flashes of incredible talent. Klubnik is fantastic, though, and even if his parents were Aggies they also rejected him for a guy named Conner Weigman who grew up dreaming of being a Longhorn kind of like the great Johnny Manziel who was great in college, but a mental midget and no offense to real short people.

Anyway, wishing Shipley and Mafah the best this coming season and I don't watch much NFL these days, but I am hoping they both make it big there.
