Baseball is about execution and that means work. We are seeing the ball and putting the bat on it, not just 1 or 2 players but all 9. For the year, we are hitting .308 and I did not look up last year's number but I bet this year is better. Wake Forest is hitting .304 and Miami is .300 but they have way more home runs than we do. We are winning with hitting throughout the lineup and that is what it takes to have a shot at getting to Omaha since we do not a dominant pitching staff like Wake does. Hopefully, we will get another shot at the Deacs on the big stage and will hit the ball like we did in Durham.

That’s my only knock on this squad; the lack of elite pitching. Grice and a couple others have kept their ERA respectable the last few weeks. We would be a lock for winning it all if we had half of Wake’s ace staff. One elite guy with a shutdown closer. We still have a chance to win it all because we can manufacture runs or score via the longball. Exciting to have Clemson baseball back where it should be. In the hunt for a title. Go show the world what Clemson Tigers can do! Another Clemson Championship followed by a National Title! Go Tigers!

They have worked hard all year to be where they are at. Using situational hitting and stealing bases and bunting to advance the runner has been key and an occasional swing for the fences. Imagine how good this team would be with an elite pitcher in the lineup.

To figure out who the best players were.... And around the NC State series all was set for the late season run.... Great coaching, and execution by the primary starters from then on....
