Why is it a game of luck when It comes to a ESPN analogy based on a Clemson victory or Clemson team, from last year? Honestly, what does last year have to do with the type of team we have this year, other than return production? Which we understand that point of view , but I do not understand ESPN's point of view on this 2025 Clemson football team?
Maybe it's just me complaining based on some negativity from ESPN, but I kinda see their intent being more negative based, strictly because they insinuate we are not as good as we think we are, because we got lucky! Luck is a part of the game, along with injuries.. I've even stated we have to be lucky and have no injuries for this team to go far into playoffs, but that would be the case for all teams trying to win a National Championship. I guess it's kinda funny that they are using this against us, with a so called algorithm or team metrics of their great ESPN rankings...

Their monkey that throws the darts is a little under the weather. So, they had to hire a new monkey and it's not fully trained.

I don’t think Any team should be pre- seasoned ranked. After the first game of the year then start the rankings. Anything before this is just guesses and opinions. Until then……

This is what people who understand football saw too

“Connelly said the picture of going toe-to-toe at Texas is fresh in everybody's mind, and it also caught his eye.”
That game showed a lot about this team.

Yes! It showed how utterly BAD the Defense was with multiple, multiple BUSTS! Wes Goodwin was out of his element and the players Season long lack of execution showed there was no Accountability!

South Carolina...and that's a coaching expert's opinion, not mine...I just saw their QB run all over us... I didn't realize it was due to coaching perfection

I don't get the South Carolina love. They lost a lot and hoping they can replicate last years results when they were very upperclassmen heavy on defense last year and having to replace it with portal guys. Low level portal guys. Then you have their QB who is living off the Clemson game. I look at his numbers and they are very pedestrian. They'll be lucky to win 6 games in my opinion. Their QB may be the most overrated QB in the country.

Turnover luck??? Winning the turnover margin is what generally happens when your QB doesn't put the ball in jeopardy. 36 TD's to only 6 picks

Unless that was a typo, then I'd say the No. 133 Special Teams rating is pulling that ranking down a bit.

133 is comical. True Freshman hits a bomb to win the ACCCG and kicked great the last half of the season. Kickoffs aren't a problem either. Our punting will be the weakness but anything outside of 60th is a slap in the face. Go Tigers!!!

We were nowhere near 60th last year. 100+ last year.
