The round Robin almost always comes down to the regular season record tie breaker and you just end up with the top 4 regular season teams in a single elimination tourney. We should do what the SEC does: on Tuesday they have single elimination play in games for seeds 5-12, then starting Wednesday they have a double elimination tourney with the 8 remaining teams just like the CWS.

Win 4 in a row, ACC CHAMPIONSHIP!
It is tough, but to win this year, that’s the system.

Like football, we have to win 3 in a row, to win the Natty!
Just win guys, go Tigers, get hot for 4 in a row!

Yeah, but everyone has a good chance.

If we just win two games, then we don’t worry about any tiebreakers and we’re in the semifinals.

Spot the ball…or whatever.

Yeah it's just the 3 way tie is trash. Surprise surprise the SEC has it right. The Pool play is example number one of a John Swofford tenure. He has been hands down the worse Conference Commish and yes that includes the clueless Big 12 Commish. John Swofford was the guy at the lead when he signed what seems like a 20 year tv deal that will have the ACC looking for answers when the SEC and Big 10 start bringing in 100 mil per school in the next couple years. The ACC HAS to bring in Notre Dame and another school to get back to the table and renegotiate this HORRIBLE tv deal.

I’ve never been a big fan of the pool play format. But…

The fairness of the tiebreaker is not a problem. You earn that advantage or disadvantage during the regular season.
If you earned a lower seed, then just win two games and you don’t have to worry about it.

The dumb part of it is if we lose Tuesday, we have to stay two more days and play a game in a “tournament” that we can’t win.
It’s not unfair at all…it’s just stupid.

The regular season should have a ton of weight.

It's a conference championship. The season should matter a lot more than who you play. One weekend shouldn't outweigh months of games.
