How on earth do these guys not have good technique by this point? None of this makes any sense.
You have multiple seasons of experience (for most of the DL). You have spring practices, summer workouts, fall practice, games, practice between games.
What did they do or are they doing or not doing during all that time such that they have no feel for correct technique???
Also, when you're job is making instant contact with another player, it seems difficult to play hard and not be physical, but I suppose its possible.

No offense Tom but how much are you making to come up with "they aren't physical enough?" Ya think??? They play like they are on skates as we used to say! They either don[t have the strength and skills to play D1 football, they aren't trying or they are poorly coached. Maybe all of the above!

Is Tom here mainly to be near his family? This is the worst coached team we have had since perhaps the early seventies. I can't remember a team being this awful everywhere on the field on both sides of the ball.

Yes, more physicality is needed across the Oline & Dline. The bigger problem is the lack is speed on defense. The LB's & Safeties move like they have 60 pound duffel bags across their shoulders in pass coverage. With d@mn every team running some version of a spread offense, speed on the defensive side is paramount. Not just straight ahead but the ability to go sideline to sideline. They need to be agile, mobile and hostile. I guess as they say....They gotta be DOGS!!! Like a previous player just stated...the current defense doesn't have any of these type of players.

Most of these guys are grown men when they arrive why pack so much weight on to them. I understand some weight gain is going to happen but it seems like we go over board to the point the speed and athleticism is effected. They are big but they are slow and big there is no burst or acceleration.

Sorry Coach, but I don’t think that we will see that this season. Those guys that are draft eligible are just trying to preserve their bodies for the remainder of the season. You’re going to have to play some younger guys. They will play hard to either improve their transfer offers or to get a bigger NIL deal from us next year.
It’s a strange world we’re living in.
My dad used to say that he loved college sports because the kids play for the name on the front of their shirt and not the name on the back.

Hey Allen, you're the DEFENSIVE Coach, everything you say the boys aren't doing is your responsibility,
why didn't you fix all these problems starting 8 months ago, rather than wait til after 4 good A$$ whippings. These boys are all good players, but obviously don't like or want to play for you, apparently no chemistry between you and your boys!! The defense has gotten worst than it ever has been!! I played football and basketball in high school and I can tell you there were Coaches we loved and Coaches we hated and it did make a difference how I played.
Dabo and Company needs to realize your hire just isn't working and needs to go ahead and fire your A$$ and get you outta there before we cant even get quality recruit's or good portal men for next year!! Your players aren't going to change until the Coaching leadership is changed out. Thats goes for both O and D staff.
