Tigers make the final cut for tall Texas guard

Chauncey Gibson (6-6) is a 2022 guard out of Dallas (Kimball) who has set October 7th for his commitment announcement, and he is down to a final three of Clemson, SMU and Old Dominion. Full Story »

It will be interesting to see if he ends up visiting. know for sure that top 70 player Ven Allen Lubin is on an offical visit this weekend. Do have a story on that?

I have watched tape on Lubin and I'm convinced he would the top prospect that we would have brought under Brad as a recruit. He will be a future first round NBA Draft pick IMO. We get both of these guys and it's a very good class.

Here is another story on Lubin when he trimmed his list in August. Really blew up this summer and some though he would be a top 40 prospect.

With Brad getting a contract extension with a healthy $$$raise, D-Rad must see a final 4 coach in our very near basketball future. If that isn't what D-RAD sees in our BB future under Brad Brownell, a contract extension with $3 mil in his finale 2 years of the contract just doesn't make good sense especially, when no other top 25 BB programs are beating Brad's door down offering him as much or more than what Clemson is paying him.

Brad Brownell has been the Clemson basketball HC since 2010, and I was a Judger Keller type believer in Brad for the first 9-10 years, but after that much time, the belief in something better for our basketball program is really hard to hold onto under the same leadership, and personally I no longer believe in Brownell...

IMO, Brad Brownell's time as our BB HC, it looks to be like that of Tommy Bowden's time as our FB HC, do just enough to keep his job with the majority of the fan base believing he would break the chain of just being an average FB program, and at his end, he had failed. But before the administration realized Tommy wasn't going to get our FB program to the next level, he had already made more money than probably 95% of our fan base could ever make in two life times. And I believe the very same will be true with Brad Brownell as our Basketball HC, but he will be a very rich man. In my next life, I hope to be at least a mediocre college HC, but just imagine the wealth of being a top 10 college HC!!!

Per a tweet on his Twitter page...he is currently on his official visit to Clemson. He has previously announced that he would make his commitment announcement on October 7th (today).

yep that was big. He held off the decision so he could see the campus. He is about 6-6 and plays both guard spots.

4 Star top 75 recruit Forward Ven-Allen Lubin is on his official visit to Notre Dame this weekend. In the next couple of weeks he is going to decide between Clemson, ND, Ga tech and Va Tech. I think we have a great chance with him after he really enjoyed his visit here last weekend. Tiger commit Chauncey Wiggins is friends with Lubin and is trying to get him to commit. They get both of these guys with Wiggins and it is a really good class.
