When you are paid 11 million per year and get a bowl bonus. What else would you say

But the spring game is televised, just go down for the practices then leave and go home and get ready for spring practice and game;) ;)

I don't know. Bowl games seem like they are becoming as obsolete now as pay phones/phone books, soap operas, 8 track tapes etc. Only seems like it's going to get worse as the playoff expands.

For the 30+ lesser bowls, the only real positive is that being in a bowl gives coaches 10 or so practices to look at players that may not have played much during the season and get a head start on spring.

Now they have to play them with so many opt outs!

Bowl games used to be treated as rewards for the players.

Now players get their rewards before and during the season, and don't care at all about the bowl games.

I think so too, or want to think so. But Clemson is in a position to need to prove something after a "down" year.

In addition to extra practices, etc, it also allows for 40+ teams to finish their seasons with a win.

Also, coaches pad resume and wallets with bonus money and/or raises! So here we come Roto-Rooter Toilet Bowl!

I love our coach and his endless optimism. I can’t however. I hate what it’s becoming. Someone has got to put some kind of parameters in place.

$10M creates plenty of optimism! Everyone else has to figure out to pay for teams now.

Some odd comments above but I promise you if you ask our players

and coaches and staff this whole experience there and the game tomorrow absolutely means something. This team will never be saddled with a 'we didn't want to be here' BS excuse. It may be an NIT style game but this whole crew is in it to win it. If they don't, it's going to hurt after and last 'til Game 1 2024.

Go Tigers!

100% agree. Anytime we get a chance to stomp an SEC team I'm excited. Gator bowl has always been a good bowl and we have a chance to finish with 9 wins & top 20 ranking with a W today. Spot the ball. Go Tigers!!!!
