Finally some accountability where it starts. Now do something about it, it's their job to get the max effort and potential out of these players, if the players don't respond....bench.

I 100% agree with STERLING, and that is exactly what I've been saying since BV left to become a HC and other long time coaches on staff started following our coordinators that left for head coaching positions bc Dabo was replacing experienced coaches from within that didn't have much experience or they never had coaching job at programs that is the level as Clemson UGA, or a LSU.
IMO those hires that he's made other than Luke and Allen, it's left us with to many inexperience coaches at one time. Some of our positions just don't have the experience to be coaching at a program like a Clemson or really good division 1 schools... That's just my opinion, but I do believe that became our problem when we started losing good coaches that either follow some of our better coaches and some that just moved on...

i know, unfortunately i feel like most of them are former clemson players. our LB's look clueless. rb's lack development and don't see the field. qb's aren't pushing each other for playing time, wr's look ok, but don't seem to reach the same highs they once did, d-line looks lost... etc etc.. hopefully we keep the core (Dabo, Luke, and LR) and get the big dawgs to bring in their preferred position coaches to oil the machine. I'd start there, then reassess next year. if we hit another wall, then we need to look at the top dawg carefully and assess the market.

Everybody has their own opinion about the way they feel about everything honestly, and my opinion of Matt Luke is that Dabo made as good a hire with him as he's done with any coach that we've had or still have, and that goes all the way back to him becoming the Head FB Coach at Clemson.
For me personally, with whatever Dabo decides he needs to do at the end of the season to get Clemson FB headed back toward a championship caliber team, IMO Matt Luke is a keeper...

You should bet the farm that it didn't just get notice by our coaches that's been coaching for a long time. They've notice, but they probably felt that it wasn't their place to say anything to Dabo, and they are probably right not to. Dabo do seem like the type that wouldn't appreciate any of his coaches saying anything about his hires but, I feel pretty sure that when Dabo first became our HC, he was asking for advice from his closest friends of who he should try to hire, but I don't think he has asked for any help in quite a while, and if he has I don't think he paid any attention...

You can attempt to mold clay for only so long before you realize you need more. This is Luke's first full recruiting cycle that currently progressing. All signs seem to be going well. I don't think it's fair to judge him to harshly before he's had an opportunity to make a real impact. I'm as disappointed as anyone in the OL, just not laying it all at Luke's feet.

The accountability starts at the top. The failure to embrace change by not utilizing the transfer portal to upgrade 1st team talent as well as depth. The failure to hire qualified coordinators and position coaches. The failure to identify what positions are of importance (OLine, Edge Rusher, DT and QB) that may require examination of investing in NIL. The failure to take steps to continually upgrade the roster by recruiting top level talent. The failure to understand being a leader means having to take the heat when things go bad and not stand at a press conference and make foolish statements like " if they tired of winning I"ll leave and go elsewhere." I think it's safe to say it has taken some time but we all realize not CDS may be in a little over his head. Any college football fan knows that when a college football programs begins it's fall out of elite status it take a while to overcome (look no further than Nebraska, USC, Miami of the 80's, 90's & early 2000's). After this season, hard decisions will need to be addressed. Do they continue to pay 11 million to a head coach that produces 9-4 seasons? Unless some changes are made, if you think this season is hard to look at wait until next season. With all the players scheduled to graduate this season, that opening game in Baton Rouge against LSU next season could be real ugly.

The template of how to be successful in the current CFP landscape is out there and readily available to implement if you have the desire and resources. Thankfully, we do under the “temporary “ House settlement salary cap terms. There was a seismic shift in the CFP landscape and our coach gambled and lost with his strategy. If he has the juevos to make the obvious changes, he can turn the corner. Results are the only thing that matters and the only reason he is the 3rd high paid HC in the biz.

This guy has coordinator potential. He speaks with confidence and commands respect. I don’t see that in Riley.

I agree that he has coordinator and probably head coach ability. The only thing is Matt wants no part of it. Can't remember the exact quote but he stated as much when Dabo brought him on.
