Yep, hopefully “shocked” in a good way this time. It’s still amazing how we went from last year to this year. The offense has looked like a team that has never taken the field before, and trying to figure it out on game days.

I wouldn't say you are wrong, I just am not sure I agree with 4th best. Other than the DL, I don't know that Georgia has more talent than Clemson or Ohio State, either.
It's all debatable.

Those of us that follow Clemson football understand it we’ve been recruiting the third or fourth best classes as far as star power for the last few years. I don’t even pay attention overall rankings because it’s inflated by the number of recruits. I would say we have AT LEAST the fourth most talented roster

I would agree and that's why I tend to gravitate to player average rather than class average or whatever that metric is called that says, "we only have a few, but they are all good".

Well UConn is on the schedule in November and they are a truly special kind of terrible... so Clemson will likely hang 40+ on them whether Clemson fixes the offense or not.

Pretty sure that with our dead-last offense in the weak-@** ACC, no chance at a playoff, little-to-no-chance at a decent bowl game, a QB that throws 90 mph fast balls into the dirt, a WR core that looks like they don't want to be bothered to catch, an OC that can't coach, an Oline coach who's well past his prime, a group of former-players/now coaches that are showing less than stellar results, a banged-up defense (thanks to our 3-and-out offense), an injured starting RB, another RB into the portal, 3rd-year linemen who can't stop a 3-man defensive front and a HC that literally bull****'s his fan base into believing that that his team is "on the cusp of pulling it all together" 5 weeks into the season....
Nah. You boys already shocked the country.

I wish I was as enthusiastic as he is. After watching this offense, I don't think we can shock anybody at any time on offense. It will take the off season and new blood to fix this. Defense, as usual, is sound.

not only are most Tigers fans shocked in a bad way so far but absolutely in " Shock AND Awe". I understand recruiting rankings with 4 and 5 stars but that only applies to High School. That means someone has progressed to that level. It's a whole new ball game when you get to college. Few players can maintain that level which leaves everyone else as a 1 star level beginning their college career. With this being said the one main thing to point fingers at is how well are these guys being developed. If you are an elite program by the 6th game of the year your machine should be humming. So far the machine is not idling smooth. Again, this game with the Orange will tell a lot. Get it together Tigers.

Our offense is ranked among the worst FBS teams. Perhaps our players should work on improving that before they start talking to the media about “shocking the world.”
Remember how silly Matt Bockhorst looked after talking so much to the media about being so tough and eating criticism for breakfast? This feels similar. And until our team plays anywhere close to its potential, comments like these are laughable.
