The article would have been shorter if Alabama 247 had listed who Bama wasn't looking at for their OC. That was a long list but Saban will find a "plug and play" OC.

Are you implying that "recruiting coordinator and offensive analyses" at Clemson is a better job than OC at Alabama? I'm pretty sure Scott might entertain the offer no matter if he already holds this role at Clemson or not.
That being said, I would be very surprised if Saban goes that route instead of some prior head coach looking to revive his career.

That type of coach does seem to be Saban's typical go-to. Obrien, Kiffin, etc. that had success, lost it, and was looking to regain that prior success.

I guess I should have said a former head coach that had previously experienced some success. Unfortunately Jeff never had even a small bit of success as a head coach to be able to revive.
That would be a good move for Jeff to take the Alabama OC position though if it is available to him!

I thought Jeff Scott had accepted a position with Clemson. I know it was officially a step back from where he had been at Clemson earlier, but money should not be an issue for him at this point.

If Saban comes calling you listen right, Wrong, I've read in many articles that Saban is hard to work for, and it would be hard to understand Jeff turning just about any job offer under Dabo down, to go and work for a butt hole like Saban with him always looking at you as being beneath him. It would take a bunch of money to leave Clemson and Dabo, and work for someone below their nose....

would leave their current employer for a perceived better opportunity but then doesn't work out then tries to go back to their previous employer. For some folks pride will stand in the way. Only Jeff Scott knows what he wants to do.

I would take Scott over O’Brien any day. O’ can’t complete a sentence without the F word and to me that means brainless
In another direction I’m pretty sure I went to school with David Hood who is the younger brother of Robert and Elizabeth. David was a good football player and we missed him in later years.
