The O-line improved a lot over the course of the season. That's why I think it was a good call to stand pat with what was already on the roster after missing on our 2 targets in the portal.

This is the best I have felt about our OL in many years. It seems that some forget that this is the one position group that, generally speaking, it takes 2-3 years to develop physically to be able to compete. Not to mention the importance of proper technique and continuity among starters. We have more depth than ever. Leigh, Pennington, Tucker, Williams and Mayes will all be hitting their peak next year, they will be physically ready to go and don't be surprised to see two or more earn a starting spot. Add in current starters, Tate, Putnam, Parks and Miller. Linthicum and Howard probably need another year to develop and then add in Sewell, Owens and Reed, we are looking very good next year and beyond.

I know it's early but I also think it was a good idea to groom Thomas Austin as our next O-line coach. He got two years as an O-line coach under Shawn Elliott before we brought him in to work under Caldwell. While working under Caldwell it allowed us to give recruits and high school coaches a heads up that he would be the successor.

Geez...how did I forget Sadler???? I think he has a chance to compete for a starting spot as well next fall.

Not sure I remember hearing Trotter was retiring or not.

I knew he had to be out this year, but thought he was coming back. That’s a bummer.

It is a bummer. He is a great kid and a fierce competitor . A real shame that his football career ended this way

WONDER WHERE THE SPARK CAME FROM
TO GET THEM MOTIVATED.....BRANDON AND
DABO? Easiest question to answer but the
truth will never be known..

Out of all the new coaches, Thomas Austin did the best job, IMO

He did a great job this year.***
