But after doing more research, I'm just not sure Aaron Fitt is accurately and fairly reporting the DRAD/Clemson baseball situation. He seems to be seeking ratings.

You're of course free to think that and I can understand why. But, he isn't a newbie. He is respected within the profession, I dont think he's making it up but it's really neither here nor there. I acknowledged in my original post on the topic that he could be getting bad info - but either way a concerted effort to undermine DRad is underway. Nothing I post here within this relatively closed Clemson community is going to amount to anything. But, having been to the CWS myself, the hotel bars and casinos are filled with coaches, athletic staff, reporters, and just about anyone else who make their living around college sports. This will be the topic most often talked about besides the actual CWS. It was quite stunning to me when going out there just how truly respected the Clemson brand was. Regardless of the truth as presented in those tweets , Dan Radakovich is paid a lot of money ($750,000) to manage exactly these kind of situations and it is his ineptness that has allowed this to fester. If he knew that Jack Leggett wasn't going to be retained there is no reason that this shouldn't have been announced Monday afternoon - Tuesday at the absolute latest. Instead he clumsily arranged a publicly acknowledged meeting on Tuesday, waiting two days, fired the coach, released a press release and scheduled a press conference (a no no in the media world), then threw the coach under the bus - "we can do better" after publicly embarrassing the coach last year (the laundry list of terms dictated to Leggett). The blame shouldn't fall on a reporter doing his job, it should fall on the man making 3/4 of a million dollars to not cause media disasters.

Has it ever occurred to you that maybe he met with Jack on tuesday and gave him the chance to be retained IF he got rid of Pep. Jack said give me a couple of days to think about it. Jack comes back to him and said no, I want to keep my staff and he was let go. Drad lets him go.
Just a silly thought

No, because peps contract is up this month no matter what. Would not have to be renewed regardless of Leggett's feelings.

The fan base has not been happy with Jack for several years. The program has been dropping for the past several years. It's the AD's job to fix that. If Jack had managed to win a few more games, we would not be having this conversation. But this is the nature of college athletics. Coaches are judged on what they have done lately. And coaches are well compensated. I hate to see any coach fired, but it was time for Jack to go. Some might say it was overdue.

Yep Vivitz is just eating it up though.
he loves the drama he has been spamming the baord with it since the decision has been made.
You have to know very very little about Baseball to think Jack Leggett was an elite coach.

That is absolutely not true. Aaron Fitts is very respected in the college baseball world. You may not agree with him but to say he isnt respected is absurd.

The funny thing about this is Viztiz calls someone out for not being tolerant of what someone else believes and then he turns around and does the exact same thing. Go figure. I think there is a term for that.

I actually go to pretty great lengths to try and understand other points of view. When I reach a complete impasse I usual just block the other user - why put each other through the aggravation. Check my post history - my numbers don't really coincide with a post wh*re who gets belligerent every chance he gets. I asked 117 repeatedly to stay on topic and answer specific questions - he just kept hurling insults so I blocked him. Peanut is similar - doesn't actually stay on topic - just name calling and insults. Yes, I've given into it over the last couple days but it's certainly not the norm. What specifically am I being intolerant of? The idea that Aaron Fitts is a small,time nobody? I don't agree with that. Intolerance isn't the same as disagreement. Aaron Fitts is a respected writer within the world of college baseball. College baseball is not that big a world from the journalistic / media side. There is no college baseball tonight on tv - even in the vast cable wasteland we have today. So I don't think reiterating for people that slam the guy or are frequently confusing him with FitsNews, that he is actually a real college baseball writer. You're free to hate the guy. But I'm hard pressed to believe anyone on here could site me a single thing he did to draw their ire prior to today, so, if I stepped over some boundary with you - my apologies.
