Are the Bama players suspended for this game?

I didn’t see anything definitive. Based on the depth chart, it looked like the answer was that somehow these guys are clear to play.

Yes they are.

They are out for this game and "maybe more.“ Those things [the NCAA violations] carry certain consequences,” Saban said (via AL.com). “And those players knew the situation. They made poor choices and decisions.”

I guess you can either take Saban's word for it that it's

an NCAA violation they have committed and that not only are they not playing, but their future eligibility is in jeopardy, or not.

What’s your problem?

I’m asking for an update since it shouldn’t be difficult to get a straight answer to the question as to whether there’s an NCAA suspension for the game or not.
Should we put Dex as starting DT for the game according to the depth chart?

Send a link to the updated comment from Saban.

All I see is a depth chart showing Brown is playing. Either that, or Saban is allowed to include suspended players on his depth chart.

If I had to guess, we're going to see that guy play. Big Dex was suspended for a drug test, that guy was suspended for a drug tes.. I mean, "violation of team rules" (wink wink). I take that to mean the NCAA will allow the staff to handle punishment. And based on the weird lawyer-speak Saban is giving while skirting a direct answer, I think he is telling us the answer. Win or lose, it'll be a non-story this time next week.

Thus my point. Where is the transparency from the NCAA?

Why do journalists let Saban and Alabama off the hook so easily? Dex gets drug through the mud in the national media because Dabo was transparent; seems fair to sit back and do nothing on our side to push back.
