Thoughtful analysis of why Cole will start against FS

well maybe not thoughtful, but here's my gut.

Cole starts and here's why. You put Watson in and Florida State eats him up or he just blows it then you have to go back to Cole. Cole now has his psyche hurt by not starting. Add to that the added pressure of having to come in and save the day after FS has all the momentum.

What will happen even though I think Watson is better. Start Cole, if he does well then all's fine and Dabo is right with his pick. If he doesn't do well, pull him and put Watson in. Watson I think will relish the role and hopefully deliver, Lord knows he certainly has the tools to do so.

Just rambling... thoughts?

Put in Cole ,if he doesnt produce on first drive pull him.

OP is correct ans it's more that Cole's pyche. it's DW too. it's a lot to through a true frosh in such a situation. he's still learning the system, learning his players and learning the speed of the defense, which he didn't see against SCSU. Freshmen superstars are used to being Superman in h.s., faster than anyone on the field. If DW were to start and get rattled, not only could you damage Cole but DW too. DW should play but just not start.
