Those of you that keep referring to the “DJ hate”

I haven’t seen a single hateful post making personal attacks or the like. All I have seen is criticism of a majorly underperforming player.
There is a huge difference between hate and criticism. Especially when the criticism is warranted.

Vast Majority Are "Attacking" The Quality of Play Not The

Man. By the way dude makes $$$$ big time off this, hard to pity one who is paid for a game. And YES his play is D+ level, compounded by D- Oline C- receiver play and D- coaching. Defense is playing in the A- to A range.

of our QB, Oline, TE, etc etc.
And I have also made stupid heated posts about players that have crossed the line myself even.
So, I will just say that I am just as guilty as anyone and I need to watch what I say as well. I am not going to pretend like it's not happening either though.

My gosh, MorbidTiger, take some Pepcid and drink a glass of milk.
I get it being mad and frustrated, but it might help to think about what you're posting so that you can retain some credibility.
DJ: When you improve your understanding about football (and you'll get there if you can manage your anger and work at it), and if at such time you commit to looking at a re-run of the Syracuse game, then you'll recognize that DJ's play was not too bad last night. Sure, he threw the ground ball on the easy pass in the second half and there was another over-throw. But DJ had a "C+" or "B-" game last night.
Receivers: Somewhat better than in recent weeks (although no where near previous years' usual "A+" grade. Maybe a "C" if we want to be really tough on them (but D.Allen was really good, and except for J.Ross's terrible drop of the long pass in first half, they were pretty good overall).
OL: Sadly, the T's and the G's played well; but no O-Line overall has a good game if there is one weak link. Last night, that weak link was the C position (due to H.Rayburn being out due to COVID).
Coaching: Actually, quite good considering the cover-up work that OL needed to manage with the weak C play. O-coaching (including play calling) was easily TE's best of the season (and quite good if you look at the plays and the challenges of making a good play actually work when the C is getting smoked so often.

You’re the guy who attacked Allen last night for dropping a pass that wasn’t going to be a first down anyway. You’ve always been quite pathetic.

Constructive criticism or pointing to shortcoming are one

thing. Calling in to question his integrity for working out after a game, speculating his teammates don't like him because none of our 3 healthy WR were with him, saying he's not giving effort because of the NIL, writing him off as a bust after 8 games, mocking his dress, yep, that's what mature people do. Right?

Wow! It has been so hateful towards DJ and the entire team and the coaches . I honestly would not be surprised if they all left… Or O should say I would not blame them!
Talk about forgetting where you have been!

If they will quit over criticism for lousy play then why do you really want them. Give someone else a chance to shine.

as long as it's prioritized criticism......

the problem I have is the "hate" thrown towards DJ/WRs and failure to acknowledge to REAL root of the problems. No, DJ nor the WRs have performed that well, but the signs of the real issues started back in 2019 when the #40th-ish ranked defense in LSU held us to 25 points in the title game..........we then followed it up with 28 points vs another 30-40 ranked defense in Ohio State. ALL that with the future #1 overall QB pick and an all conference/all american type running back.
The playcalling, the lack of offensive innovation, the complacency of we're not changing b/c we've done it this way before, the lack of roster management in this day & age of CFB (lack of portal use to combat our portal losses), the OLine play has been atrocious for YEARS (including the years we won the titles, we just had players to mask them), the nepotism asst coach hires, the nepotism effort schollies, etc....
the point is, yes DJ and WRs have underperformed, but the BIG picture stuff is the reason we are where we are. Fix the Big picture and everything else will fall into place.

Bingo, well said. The big picture issue is very evident now because TL and ETN are not here to cover shortcomings against overmatched opponents

Root Cause or Contributing Cause
Oct 17, 2021, 10:08 AM

Based on all the investigations and interviews looking into the Tiger Football Program current state performed by TNet members, what is the root cause (based on my experience - 30 years, rarely there is more than one true root cause in any investigation) and what are the 2 biggest contributing causes? Select from the list below:
1. Organizational Issues (Top Down -Overlooking Poor Performance, Lack of ?Accountability) 2. OC Performance 3. Coaching Experience 4. Poor Recruiting - Talent Evaluation 5. NIL 6. QB Performance 7. WR Performance 8. OL Performance 9. Player Grooming and Dress Habits 10. Social Media

Bingo!!! Post of the year!!! I might add that DW masked a lot of the issues with his feet and escapability (he did the same for Houston in the NFL which pretty much tells us what we need to know about how truly special he is) … when we signed TL we pretty much started slowly abandoning the up tempo … TL was a generational talent that had good starlight on speed and could buy some time in the pocket but he was no magician like DW…DJ can do neither at this point so every OL deficiency we’ve ever had is magnified …

You ought to check out the Clemson Football Community on Bleacher Report. Sadly, there's plenty of hate toward DJ there. It's college football, not the NFL!!
