We just returned yesterday from dropping our second child off in God's Country. Her excitement helped offset the heart hurt from having to leave her there.
This weekend reminded me that there is truly no place on earth that can compare to Clemson. There's a reason our University is so highly regarded. It's not just our sports teams; it's the town, lake, foothills and university as a whole. Clemson is the total package and there IS magic in those hills.
Dirtpeckers can't understand it because they don't have it. Five years of decent football can't erase a century of mediocrity, nor can it hide the thuggish ambiance of Cootlumbia.
Hope all of the students have a great and safe year...it will be over before you know it...so enjoy! Go Tigers!!!
I couldn't agree with you more. We moved our daughter in this weekend and she will be a freshman and my son will be a senior. My wife, who is a Coot Graduate, is glad that both our kids decided to attend Clemson. She even admits that Clemson is a special place and realizes it was the best choice for our children to get a great education and college experience!
