Held accountable? This isn’t a court of law, this is a football forum where fans come and discuss the teams performance. 4 weeks ago by every metric we were heading towards the “may not win another game” outcome and tonight we squeaked by. If not for an otherworldly defensive performance we would have. Our offense scored zero touchdowns. Zero! A scoop and score by our awesome defense and a kicker that until tonight was ice cold. We can celebrate this win but if you don’t realize how bad Usuck is and how they stopped our offense cold then you may be beyond reasoning with.

Yeah definitely two sides to this story. At the beginning of the season a lot of fans, and even a lot of Clemson media pundits, were predicting a 12-0 or at worst 11-1 season. When we were 4-4 there were a lot of doomers predicting that missing a bowl game was guaranteed.
So which is it? Did we over or under achieve this year? I would say we definitely underachieved compared to preseason hype and expectations but we overachieved during the last half of the season especially based off our record going in to ND game.

I will say it....I thought they would go 2-2 in their final 4.
I am glad I was 100% wrong. Wes Goodwin is a bona fide stud of a coach and needs a raise.

As sure as we make predictions,they will be wrong. I predicted Auburn to beat Alabama when it was fourth and goal from the 31. Then the two man pass rush happened. Three is bad enough.Two is inexcusable.

I’m here🤚🏻.. I love it when dipsh$ts get on their high horse and try to call people out for being wrong, especially over something like college football. Yes, after the Miami and North Carolina State debacles I thought this team was going 4-8. THANK GOODNESS for that defense because if not for them, 4-8 is exactly what this team would be. It’s a travesty this defense was wasted this year on such an a$$ offense.
