Speaking of Saved by the Bell.
Feb 1, 2021, 2:51 PM
|
|
It just registered with me that the principal's name was
Mr. Belding.
Like "Bell" "Ding".
"Ding" like the sound a bell makes.
The show was named saved by the bell.
Is Mr. Belding a Christ-like figure?
Have I been greatly underestimating this show for decades?

This is why I wish weed were legal....
Feb 1, 2021, 3:01 PM
|

Biggest stoner I knew at Clemson...was talking to him one day freshman year I think. He just out of the blue asked "Are you a ###### or something?"
I'm like....Uhhh.....no. Uhh...why?
He then told me he noticed my belt was on backwards. I had no clue. ####, I didn't even care about belts, much less noticed how ANYONE wore their belts. Was there a right way? At that point, my life flashed before my eyes. High school prom(s) x3 in a tux. Middle School Chorus. Elementary school graduation. Confirmation at Church. I then kept flashing back to like 5 years old. I eventually got back to the moment of truth, and I was crushed. Somewhere around 5yo it was MY MOTHER who told me how to put on a belt. Dad was awol at the time. And then it dawned on me...women wear their belts differently than men? So the next day I turned my belt and did an informal poll. ######. Stoner was right. And 18 years, well, 13, and NO ONE HAD EVER NOTICED, or told me anyway.
This is why I totally support weed, in all forms, for whatever recreational reason. Stoners serve the world by pointing out #### no one else would ever notice.

smoked pounds upon pounds of pot in my lifetime and I cannot visualize how you put a belt on backwards. Are we talking a braided belt or something? Use MS Paint if necessary.

You run the belt from the left side, around your back
Feb 1, 2021, 3:09 PM

and connect it on the right side when it comes back around.
That way when you eat too much at Golden C., the buckle flies off towards the wall, and not towards the people sitting next to you.
If that's too hard for your retardass to understand, then just stick to sweatpants.

angry?
But how else would you put on a belt other than you described? And even if you started from the right and worked your way left, would that necessarily be wrong? Is that how women put their belts on? The only way I can visualize putting on a belt wrong would be to not use the belt loops.

jeopardize what you and I have for the sake of a few thumbs ups.
If the correct way is clockwise, then I would assume the wrong way would be counter-clockwise.
I didn't realize it was a man/woman issue (like the buttons on a blouse).
I figured it was more of a righty/lefty thing, much like which pocket you put your wallet in (and the subsequent wallet chain that I'm sure you wear).

the wrong way, backwards. As I sit here now, the end of my belt points to my left. Prior to my frosh stoner-friend revelation, it pointed to the right. It takes weed, or whatever else he may have been on, to notice something like that.
Next time you're walking around, take a look. Men wear them one way, and women the other way.
If your mom taught you how to dress, best check yourself.

this is correct, being left handed, I did it incorrectly my whole childhood. When I got into ROTC in High School and then in college, of course, I had to do it the correct way. Correct is left back around to right hand. It makes it match up to the pant opening and makes a straight line.

your wife had to dress you in addition to making your sandwiches. So they made it so it would be the same for putting on a man or woman's shirt if you were the woman doing it.

Did you know that zippers on jackets are opposite for men

and women? The zipper handle is on the RIGHT side zipper on womens' clothing. Doesn't seem like a big deal until you realize you've unconsciously zipped a jacket the same way your entire life. I got a jacket in Amsterdam like 12 years ago, and the zipper was backwards, probably like their drivers/roads. I put it on a few weeks ago for the first time in years and I was reminded how weird it is.

I always thought it was so it made it easier for each other to take their cloths off.
Tricky part was always the bra. If you got a girl with some big old FAT tiddies spilling out that bra that thing was so ############# tizzzite on the back you can't hardly push it together to get the hooks out from each other.

a year or two ago....a men's jacket, specifically....
The zipper was 'reversed' on all of them...i was all lik 'is dis a lady-jacket?'...but no, they HAD a fem version there, that was definitely more 'lady shaped'
twas a #### good deal, so I got it....but I question myself every time I put it on.

Did it double as a liner for an even heavier coat?
Feb 2, 2021, 11:58 AM

I believe I've seen that before.
A ski jacket with a zip-in fleece liner that can be worn separately.... The ski jacket will have a normal zipper configuration and the zip-in liner will be reversed keep some bozo from zipping it together incorrectly.

and usually, the 'receiving' zipper (not the technical term, if there is one) on the inside of the shell is reversed, keeping the liner zipper 'normal'
