So long as he stays focused on the right things, he’ll be fine.

His ability at reading a defense is the problem.

I agree. The coaches are not saying it but when T.E. said he made a mistake calling an RPO on a 2nd and long because he shouldn't have put DJ on that position says a lot.

Maybe we need at establish NIL for knowing the playbook completing passes over 10 yards getting the pass so the receiver has a chance to catch it and TDs. We might get his attention

I'm no QB guru. I don't know enough to comment on his throwing motion or footwork or anything else physical about him. But, here is what my untrained eye sees.
1. He seems to be very inaccurate. Whether the receiver is covered or open, it seems like he is not even close to his receiver on way too many occasions.
2. He seems to want to throw a fastball regardless of the pass.
3. He seems to stare down a receiver way too long.
Note: Shows how much I know about football. In August I expected him to win the Heisman Trophy as he led Clemson to another 15-0 season. I am shocked at what my untrained eye is seeing.

Well, you are not the only one. I heard Don Munson, in a national radio interview, say that he felt DJ would be better than Trevor.

I really believe DJ is not 100% because of what’s going on with his support system that’s always been there. His parents are getting a divorce & they weren’t during BC & ND games last year.
I believe Dabo realizes this too, he doesn’t want to lose a very talented QB because everything is bigger to him right now.
If you have never been through this then you may not relate but those that have suffered with a hurt heart realize this can affect everything you do.
We should all be praying for him, he needs our support. This kids going to come out of this & be a great QB.
I believe this is why Dabo hasn’t benched him for a series or two already, but I could be wrong too.

Sounds like Dabo should have let the guy go take some time versus ruining the season by not being present and on his game. Who knows how letting QB2 take the reigns would have worked but this didn’t and now here we are.

Class post. Great reminder no matter how closely we watch these games, we the fans don’t know the whole story. Hope whatever DJ has going on (off and on the field) it gets better for him.

The reality of the real world is coming when the NIL $s go away because of lack of performance. He needs a quick turnaround or next year there won't be any NIL contracts.

I could be wrong but I’m blaming the guy touching the ball all game. Line has traditionally sucked and it didn’t lead to 295 yards a game ever. Aww, RB’s suck, you run then. You’re supposed to be the next elite guy in the ncaa make plays like all the elite ones have dispite other guys. Period.
