Oklahoma's freshman RB outweighs Beasley by nearly 10 lbs.

& ran for 242 yards @ West Virginia.
Went over 400 against Kansas.
I think it's gonna come down to how well the o-line plays.

In Vic and our team's defense...
WVU and Kansas had a defense that was record setting terrible! They were absolutely pitiful this season...Alot of those stats are definitely padded...Now, is he a bad RB? No, not at all...but this Clemson has a much better defense than those two terrible teams...

performs.
If we see a bunch of 3 & Stoudts like we did against Georgia in the 4th quarter, I'm sensing a repeat of the blistering rushing performance Gurley put on.
BTW, Perine broke the single game NCAA rushing record just a few weeks ago.
He did, however, sprain his ankle against Oklahoma State & his status is somewhat in question.

If we dont turn the ball over and get a couple takeaways , I think we win. I also think we will need something special from our special teams. Block a punt, fake a feild goal for a TD. Something good to go our way. 25 to 24 Tigers with a safety in there for our D.

That is a really odd number to put on a bench...

to perform a rep maxout. I dont think Ive ever seen someone pick that amount to do that.
Maybe 275, but random to put two 2.5 lbs plates on there. Pretty impressive though...thats about a 450 bench press.

The weight selected was probably based off of the players perceived max, or just randomness, like 40 lbs more than his bodyweight. Regardless, we have not had a running back with that kind of upperbody strength in decades, if ever. Certainly never as a true frosh. Perine is Nick Chubb +20 lbs.

including a 20 yard effort against Baylor. He only carried 5 times in that game though.

OU since they played FSU for the national title in 2000.
That experience week 1 against Gurley might be the only thing Clemson needs to not be afraid of their running game & put a stop to possibly the greatest ball carrier in the history of the universe.
I still think Beasley should get some carries.
