Lack of good angles, sloppy tackling, missed assignments. Going to give up a lot of yardage/points to good teams.

We were holding our own against UGA in the opener on defense as well last year. But the floodgates opened up in the second half

We will see. The 2nd half hasn't happened yet. As opposed to the UGA game last year. We're going into the half with a 10-3 lead. Defense has caused 2 turnovers as well. Defense is better but not tremendously better. I won't argue that. I'm just saying, this LSU team isn't some hot dog water group.

They are throwing the kitchen sink at us and really other than a couple of missed tackles and a pass interference I am not shocked at what I have seen.

Only given up 3 points and LSU has some really good perimeter players and a qb that is pretty accurate.
They are also running some tricky plays that im sure have been throwing us off. We are missing some tackles but keeping everything in front. So far so good IMO.
Improve on tackling angles and keep stopping the run and we will be all good. Offense needs to keep building.

If anyone thought the issues would be gone or fixed overnight completely are very oblivious to how this thing works lol but there’s no denying there’s much improvement also… I see better effort not as many bad angles and the tackling for the most part is better.

Some things to clean up for sure. However, the concept of gap discipline seems to be completely lost on Woodaz. A lot of chunk gains given up in the running due to this. Was glad to see Crayon have a go for a few plays. Maybe that lights a fire under someone that is supposed to anchor that unit.
