"Get a free Google Pixel 10 Pro on us!"
So I'm like what's the catch? Best I could tell, there was no catch. No change to monthly bill, no monthly charge to buy phone over 36 months.
The only stated payment owed was a "$40 upgrade fee". So I chatted with an OCN or a bot which said $40 fee + sales tax. Sales tax on $1000 phone is $70. They said they would waive the fee. Got two Google Pixel 10 Pros for $140 total for wife and I. MIL wanted one too so hers was $60. FIL said "I got to buy a new case too!, NO THX!".
#Winning (I think).

I think the catch is that you renewed your contract for 3 years

but if I go back one model to the 16 PRO, it is $30.50 per month for 36 months.
I'll just keep on truckin.
I saw no offer on a Google Pixel on my app.

Most "deals" with Verizon are contingent on one thing.

If you ever want to switch carriers, I expect you'll be paying the full price to leave.
Got $600 tradein deal on old phone. Financed in just $600 to buy a new. $1200 phone.
I'm like OK... I'll roll this into the bill, get the deal, and pay off the $600. Can't do that. Any payoff until it's fully paid off in your bill, you lose the deal and pay about $1k or what would be left.
They do this to trap you with them. At least for the finance term on the phone.
I'd check the fine print.

Yeah, so the downside would be if you wanted to leave you

would have to pay full price for the phone like a normal human.
Positive side, if you stay, as you have for 22 years, phone is free.
