leaked just as a tool to put heat on the acc. I would be surprised it we've really got 7 teams ready to bail. Don't get me wrong, I hope we do have that many but jmo.

I question UNC’s motives. Yes, maybe the money difference puts them in the same boat as the rest. But they will also be giving up the outsized influence they’ve had for 70 years over their conference and cozy officiating. No one’s going to give them special treatment in the SEC or B1G.

Plus having 2 conference schools in your back yard and another one close by has been great for them in terms of less travel and rivalries. They’re giving up a lot if this happens but I guess money as it normally is will be the deciding factor.

We should never forget that it was UNCheat who pushed hard for the death penalty for our football program after the recruiting violation blowup in 1982. Wake was the only NC school that supported us.

30-35 million a year in this contract, not counting how much it will be in contracts until 2036, will make any team walk away from a conference.
The only purpose for a conference is negotiating TV rights.
