Beating the Syracuse Zone

The way to beat the Syracuse zone is to first recognize how far out the top 2 are playing. When they play far out to the top of the key or further, we need to put a man--preferably KJ--to slide into the post and when he gets the ball- he turns towards the net and either shoots, or drives always looking for the dump off. When they lay back we must take the 3's given to us. Would love to see Hall shoot more.
We can't pass into the corners or we'll get trapped. Duke did a great job of handling the zone and would have won absent horrific officiating.

thank you. All I was trying to say is that we have to get the ball inside and then hit 3's when they move the zone further out. I've got the same worry as you but I always try to see what "could" happen and "how" it could happen.

in his shot; whatever he was feeling a couple weeks ago has gone away though. He's not even looking for his shot on drives when he gets in close to the basket. Having guys that are not even attempting open look shots kills against a zone cause the D knows they don't even have to shift for that player. Puts a lot more stress on other O players to attempt to get their shots off against the zone.

Jordan seems to have got his confidence back. I hope that we can hit enough from outside that they have to show some respect for it.

think he went through a stretch where get was blocked alot
