having to watch what's going on at Clemson right now and trying to convince yourself that it's going to turn around soon when in reality the gap is getting wider. at least when we were in that God awful 5 game streak there was tangible evidence that things were going to get better. there are a few solid players in their class but nobody that would make you think "this guy is gonna turn us around". I bet they probably want to burn their trailers down just thinking about it

or aspiring to be Clemson, and instead be more relieved that their class was better than Kentucky’s, so that they might have a chance of beating them this year.
I’ll put it like this: They are like the 30 year old fry cook at a fast food joint. Setting your sights on being the CEO of Apple one day is not a realistic goal. Instead, your focus should be on becoming the store manager at said fast food joint and being glad you aren’t the fry cook anymore.

to even get close. The damage was done midway through their three 11-2 seasons. Many of their assistants that left were good recruiters, and when SOS Jr took over recruiting; that was like having a rabbit guard a head of lettuce. Their recruits coming in and new coaches could not sustain the success and SC football went off the cliff. Their current HC and staff are working harder but now have to compete with a elite NC in state rival and UGA is back too. UF and UT will get off the carpet as well.
