I actually think Wake can win 9 games this year

They are 4-0 now. It's doubtful that they'll beat us, Louisville, or FSU (although they often gave FSU fits even when they were terrible). That leaves NCSt, Syracuse, BC, Army, and UVA. NCState loss to East Carolina so they aren't that good. All those other teams are marginal at best. They even seem good enough this year where if one of the big boys don't take them seriously, WF could legitimately upset them IMO.

Yeah, they always play smart football. They do not usually have a lot of talent, but they rarely make mistakes. You have to beat them, they do not beat themselves.

They are far from good - nice d but that's it. Would not be shocked if they lost half, if not more. Cuse and state will give them fits. Qb for Indiana threw for 497 against them. 5 ints is only reason wake won. They will not beat army

Won at West Point last year with a backup qb I believe. Duke beat the crap out of them and will Probably do the same in a couple of weeks. Army does look improved but WF looks much better as well. Wake has a good coach. I see Army losing on the road to both ACC teams.

Even if they were favored in all 5 they still wouldn't have a very good chance of winning them all.
Even something like 7-5 would be a big accomplishment for them this year though.

BEFORE the season started, I predicted Wake could possibly be 4-0 after 4 weeks. And that they'd get to go to a bowl game this year. I like their coach as he seems to be pretty solid in his coaching. I also like their QB as he makes pretty good decisions. I called Wake the surprise team in the ACC this year. I think they only won 2-3 games last year, so they are much improved.
I don't see them winning more than 7 games though - just 6 is my guess - plus a bowl game. It's a start.

*Yes i know the lines are set to get close to equal bets on both sides. Vegas still has to be pretty accurate though or the sharps will hammer them on the other side.

Can't believe WF beat Indiana in Bloomington. I was very shocked by that result. Indiana is not a world beater but they're a scrappy lil' team, especially at home and a less than 2 touchdown line seemed like a lock...but alas WF ran the ball like a hot knife through butter.
I am very surprised that WF is 4-0 and they have beaten at least two reasonable teams...so yes, you're right...they may very well sneak up on a 9 win season.
