Seems that way. The 'he was just out jogging' idea seems as

Nov 18, 2021, 1:58 PM

wrong as the 'he was an active shooter' one is about Kyle. Discount both of those, peel away the narratives to get down to the actual encounters, and they are very different.

Kyle Rittenhouse should go free, and these ##### should go

to jail.

Agree. I didn't word it well above. I meant that the two

events - stripped of the narratives - are very different from each other, not different from the narratives surrounding them.

a lot of bozos believe KR is guilty because "he had no business being there."

With that litmus test applied here, someone can say the same thing.

Why do the cases need to be compared?***

They don't "need to be", but they are being compared

because both are current, high profile trials involving alleged vigilanteism, with alleged racial implications.

What's the racial part on Rittenhouse?***

Notice I said "alleged" racial implications.

Nov 18, 2021, 5:23 PM [ in reply to What's the racial part on Rittenhouse?*** ]

There were perceived to be two sides in the Kenosha protests/riots, according to the protestors and those who supported them and their cause: The protestors, and those who supported them and their cause (not joking there), and those who did not. Those who did not were deemed, by the first group, to be racists, oppressors, and white supremacists. Kyle Rittenhouse was not there to support their cause, so ...

In reality, to the extent that reality matters anymore, Rittenhouse's shooting of the 3 WHITE people who chased him down and attacked him had zero racial connotation or motivation, but this is 2021 America, where EVERYTHING is seen through the lens of racism.
