I would be fine with them losing all of it, but that won't happen. They will lose some land Imagine though.

I would take as much inland and on the beach as possible. It would just want a sliver on the beach that would be hard to protect.

There are approx. 2.1 million Palestinians in Gaza. That's a lot of people. Among those millions there are approximately 20,000-25,000 Hamas fighters. That's a lot of fighters, but actually a little more than 1% of the total.

2.1 million Gazans didn't start a war, Hamas started the war. Hamas fighters slaughtered 1300 Israelis on Oct. 07. An unprecedented, vile and cowardly act. Israel had every right to wipe out as many Hamas as possible. Of that, there is no doubt.

But where it get's difficult, is Israel has also slaughtered over 40,000 Gazan (Palestinian) civilians.
That also is unprecedented, vile and cowardly.

I think people often confuse "Jew" with "Israeli". Israel is a secular state meaning it is non-religious. For instance, prostitution, including homosexual prostitution was legal in Israel up until 2018.

I was raised in the church and understand the close connection between Christianity and Judaism, the religion. I do not, however, understand any connection between the secular Israeli State and American Protestantism.

It's to easy, in my view, to see any and everything the Israeli Government does as somehow prophetic or Biblical. As a whole, the founding of the Jewish State was prophesied, however, the didn't found a "Jewish" State, they founded a secular democratic republic that is run by Jews. That's quite different.

At any rate, whatever connections some of my American brethren feel they have with the Jewish people, the secular govt. of Israel has killed thousands of Palestinian women and children, most with US made bombs.

I don't believe in hopping back and forth between the Old Testament and the New. Jesus is the final word from God and I don't think Jesus (God) intended any of this.

...that being that Hamas's killing of civilians in Israel and Israel's killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza can both be neatly summed up as "unprecedented, vile and cowardly acts"...is that the scenarios and the tactics were completely different.

Did Israel launch an unprovoked sneak attack? No...they announced to the world that they would invade Gaza and attack Hamas, in response to Hamas's unprovoked slaughter of citizens and taking of hostages. Before concentrating forces and strike in area, there were leaflet drops, evacuation corridors established, aid was permitted in to the extent possible and reasonable in a war. Some directly by the Israelis themselves.

Why wasn't any and all aid allowed to enter? Because Hamas would steal it.

Why were more Palestinians killed than could have been? Because Hamas fought out of uniform, hid amongst civilians, and developed their key war-waging infrastructure right in or under civilian infrastructure such as hospitals. A key component of their approach to war is the ability to use their own civilians deaths to pull on the heart strings of well meaning countries.

I certainly feel for innocent Palestinians just trying to live their lives. It is truly tragic for them. But the logic, to me, seems pretty solid. If Hamas...which was "elected" to "lead" the people of Palestine...is going to continue to cause unprovoked death to Israeli citizens, then Israel is right to take action (as you say). If Hamas then hides among its human shields...excuse me...citizenry...and Israel tells people where they are going and tells people how they can leave, and civilians still stay and die...well, it's tragic, but my response isn't "Sorry Israel...you just have to tolerate random slaughters of your people because Hamas has cleverly hidden among non-combatants."

Anyway, the rest of your post is above my pay grade. I don't really see it as a "Christian supporting Jew" thing. More so it is part "America supporting a strong democratic nation in a region where everyone around them seems to hate them", and part "I think Israel is in the right in their efforts to destroy Hamas, and Hamas (and Hezbollah, etc.) isn't really in the right on any thing."

Hamas persisted in power because Israel kept propping them up with money and aid, as a strategy to keep the west bank and gaza separated. The west bank is what Israel really wants in whole. Gaza was the land of the Philistines in antiquity.

What’s gone down in Gaza has been one of the most obvious cases of ethnic cleansing in the last hundred years.

This has been in the making for a long time. Read the history of thugs like Ariel Sharon, and you can clearly see the agenda was to keep the Palestinians divided, which was why Hamas was propped up by Netanyahu for decades. The dude funneled cash into their hands from all over the place to keep them alive.

He was totally responsible for their success as a foil to disrupt the two state solution proposed by Palestinian Authority leader Abbas.

And they are about to take the West Bank as well. For the right price, Trump will do what needs to be done to help run them out.

It would be considered ethnic cleansing even if they didn't kill a single person.

Ethnic cleansing is the systematic forced removal of ethnic, racial, or religious groups from a given area, with the intent of making the society ethnically homogeneous. Along with direct removal such as deportation or population transfer, it also includes indirect methods aimed at forced migration by coercing the victim group to flee and preventing its return, such as murder, rape, and property destruction.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_cleansing

Definition: the expulsion, imprisonment, or killing of an ethnic minority by a dominant majority in order to achieve ethnic homogeneity

They have people of the same ethnicity living in Israel . They don't think are going to wipe that ethnicity out of the area. People need to pick a new word to gain credibility.. It's kind of like when people were talking about the end of democracy. No it's not a genocide.
