and this game is a huge “Referendum” in college football ball since Dabo is stern on no Transfers and FSU coach is a leader of the Portal system.
He’s probably right in which team & coach wins..
but it’s gonna be a tough out if Tigers have their needed game paint on thick.

I like Pate but I hope he's wrong on this one. Still not used to our Tigers getting beat like we have been in recent memory. A win Saturday will definitely get tension off the program that desperately needs good news and big wins right now.

We’ve won 1 “big game” in the last 2+ years…. NC State last year when they were ranked 9 or 10, and they were frauds so that is probably more like 1/2 a win… these kind of games used to be a given and we would show out and usually win convincingly. Until we show we can do that again, I need to see it with my eyes first… no idea what to expect while I’m in the Valley this weekend.

Sometimes I wish all these new fans who jumped on board in 2015 would just find another team. People can’t appreciate doing better than the program has ever been. They have no idea what depths we’ve come from and where we STILL are in national standing. The numbers don’t lie.

They got full of themselves pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it was BC that brought them back to earth. I was hoping that WE could do that. In FSU’s defense, they weren’t up for that game and thought they had it won stepping off of the bus. They won’t overlook Clemson.

He told him you are not here to play but to be a player coach and the other one just happens to be Bear Bryant’s grandson lol, another friends/family scholly. We have 56 4/5 star players, so we didn’t have that many scholarships to go out in the portal to get a bunch players in the first place. Unless you’re implying that Dabo should have ran players off to make way for transfers. Like I originally stated it was used to add depth, not find a starte. Also, if you reply leave the lol’s out in the middle of your sentences. So lol all you want with friends conspiracy theories, it’s really not proving anything by typing lol in the middle of sentences.

Well, we apparently needed a starting kicker, so we did the Clemson portal-rooski to get one. The other two "portal" players will never play meaningful snaps for us. Acting like Dabo is pro-portal (or pro NIL) is not a defensible position to a reasonable person. The media knows this and has the receipts. As such, this will be portrayed as "Old school" Dabo vs "New school" Norvell. And many in the media won't even remotely hide their disdain for the old school way.

YOu said we didn't need to sit anyone, yet Dabo just pulled a kid ON to the the team that wasn't on the team when the season started. And someone else is now gonna be sitting. Not actually a portal player, but basically the same thing. So your statement that 'We don’t need to sit ANYONE for a portal quitter." isn't very accurate. In fact we ARE sitting someone. Specifically the starting kicker. Does that make you sad the Dabo did backdoor portal deal? Not sure why it would. We're just trying to improve our chances to win. The portal has never made an elite program nor will it. The Clemsons, OSUs, UGAs, and the Alabamas build their programs with recruiting.
And don’t give me any garbage about one or two guys. That’s fine, but we arent now or ever just going to grab a dude out of the portal to sit a starter. Our starters are all highly recruited kids and won’t be dismissed for a guy seeking a starting role. We don’t need WRs, we don’t need QBs, and we don’t need anyone else anywhere.
And that’s not what happened here. Gunn is a all league player, but he needs to get his head on straight. He will earn the job back, no question. The guy coming back was never a starter and I think he has 3 extra points to his name. Heck, even he knows he’s not coming here to permanently replace a scholarship.
Not the same. Nothing you said is relevant to the fact elite teams don’t have 2-deeps made up of mostly portal players. There’s zero evidence to say that’s the magic recipe.
The portal is not a reason we lost to anyone.

I can’t imagine your what a team hopes to have in its fans. I guess the team motivates your cheer?
I’ve been a Clemson fan my whole life and many times we didn’t have the team or the talent to compete but I didn’t plan on seeing an early blowout. I always cheered and planned on a win especially at home.
This team is talented, we have great facilities and an incredible history, greatest stadium and used to have the best fans.
I’m not sure what motivates you to cheer as others behind you look to your example?

We are going to look like Duje made us look for the whole game and Florida Atlantic made us look for the third quarter. He is thinking about our offense going three and out from late second qtr to late third qtr vs FAU.
Hes also letting the eye test dictate his thoughts. He sees FSU looking very fast, athletic and ripped and Clemson looking like slow, not athletic, and kind of dough boy looking. He's letting all of that persuade him. And maybe that we had no push offensive line vs FAU and they stood us up three downs inside the two, not to mention what they did to Ship on the goalline for lack of blocking.
He doesn't know what he's talking about.

He’s always had 101 ways that Clemson wouldn’t be any good and that Dabo couldn’t coach after winning national championships because he’s only an underdog coach that’s his theory.

If we are back as I think we will be..and FSU tanks it as I think they will...that is the referendum...But, it could be a referendum..If Clemson wins...and all those mercenaries for FSU tank the rest of the year....We saw a little crack in the armor this week when Coleman complained that he didn't get enough targets last game.

A lot of people seem to forget that FSU also has the #6 recruiting class for next year along with all the transfers they are bringing in, Norvell is embracing the new way of football, maybe Dabo should think about doing the same.

Dabo doesn’t know what he’s doing and Mike Norvell has accomplished much more! Dabo obviously can’t get a team ready for a big game and recruiting doesn’t matter anymore!

Win or lose Saturday the sun will come up on Sunday, bills still have to be paid, most of our family's will still love us and the only thing that changes is the attitudes people have of a game. Do I hope we win? Absolutely! Do I think we win? Absolutely! We are far from a great team, but then again so is FSU! There are no great teams this season that I have seen. Play smart and don't turn the ball over and we have as much of a chance as they do.
