to have taken this paying players to a new NCAA approved level. They’ll be the main culprit in the ruination of college football as we know it.

Whether the rumors are true or not, they seem to be having some bad press lately.

While I have no love for the leg humpers, they are doing what every other school is or should be doing under the current legal landscape. Private $$$ can buy players and it is legal - full stop. Any gray area work under those rules is essentially unenforceable. Everyone knows that. On the flip side, just because private $$$ can pay recruits top $, it does not automatically translate into success. Looking at you Texas ATM. That is the world we live in, either you adapt or die.

I couldn't agree more and I hope that we are willing to play the game until new rules come out. It seems pretty clear that Clemson is not taking the route of offering high school recruits large sums of money before they prove it on the field. I see the reasoning behind that but at the same time we seem to have lost our edge of getting the attention and commitments of the number of five star guys we used to attract. I hope we haven't completely given up on that front. Seems our donors could transfer money they would normally give through IPTAY to be in the running for certain recruits that meet our standards.

and that is exactly what's happening.

A one-eyed blind man could have seen this coming.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Portal and $$$$ will ruin college sports***
