When he was in Congress, and being interviewed on TV, he would have a screen filling photo of downtown Greenville behind him as his background.
He appears to be one smart cookie, and well-spoken. Used to enjoy viewing his strong "grilling" of people who needed to be grilled when he was on committees.

His “Grillings” were only for Show! They sounded good, but no action by Him or anyone else on the Judiciary Committee ever Resulted in ACTION TAKEN against the Tyranical Crooks that were being Grilled!

I disagree. He did what he could but I think was frustrated at how little he could do by himself and a few others. He understood the culture of the “swamp” and knew that regardless of which party you were in it was more important to be a part of the establishment. Therefore, he chose not to run for re-election and get out of there. Good guy!

Unfortunately he had no power to do anything with the findings of his committee. He didn't have the power in his position to actually bring charges that was up to others. He was disgusted with that situation just as the rest of us were.
