Here's to those who're reveling in Swinney's recent struggles with as much zest as they've reveled in his past success.

Dabo has failed to adapt to the new era of college football. Most are thankful for his past but times have changed how many coaches have climbed the mountain fallen and climbed again. Say what u want this will be one big off-season for Clemson football.

I don’t think anyone besides some trolls are reveling in the recent failures of CDS, if anything we’re lamenting the horrendous results on the field and the majority of complaints are calling for him to change vs finding a new coach. Not saying there aren’t those that want him gone but they’re the minority

Many here revel in being part of the "we told you" set, which is not too far from reveling in being right, which is not too far from reveling in CDS being wrong, which takes me back to the OP.

NOBODY is happy that Dabo was wrong nor are they happy that they were right.
but don't expect those that had the ability to see that Dabo had to change or things would get worse back in 2020/2021 not remind those of what they were warned about when they were land blasted and dismissed as "coots" or "bandwagon fans" or whatever.
Those who warned about the following back in 2021 were told to "Trust Dabo" he knows better -bad/inexperienced staff hires -Dabo's need to utilize the portal -recruiting misses -roster management issues
now here we are.
I don't want Dabo gone.......I personally think he'd THRIVE again in this new era of CFB.........ONLY IF he'd just swallow his pride and CHANGE/ADAPT to the new world.

Quite the misrepresentation...
Who is saying everything is fine? Or is any positivity at all fit your definition of "everything is fine"?

That 2021? I doubt you were so prophetic as to be calling for Dabo's head back then. If you were, throw the link in here and I'll apologize.

Back in 2021. And the combination of that post right after the Tennessee game of 2022 called everything up to now and here we are with a losing record and all of a sudden people see it.
And no need to apologize I don’t care about any of that crap

while he made horrible hires, spoke out against NIL, and refused to use the portal to make us better would just admit that they were wrong.
Perhaps some self-reflection and admission of guilt would do them well, rather than accusing us of being bad fans or suggesting that we enjoy this somehow.

There are plenty of fans that feel this is just a one off. Feel if Dabo just continues to do what he’s always done he will right the ship and we’ll get back to the top of college football. That’s pretty much saying everything is fine.

it's just really, really, really needing to be right. A sort of cognitive rigidity rooted in what is essentially black-and-white thinking. E.g., "Dabo didn't listen to me/us, otherwise he wouldn't be failing now."

I’m not sure what this accomplishes. Swinney has literally put himself in this unenviable position, voluntarily.
If Dabo had just outbid other schools for the players he had committed the last few years, and used the portal to at least the degree that everyone else does, we wouldn’t be 3-5. This doesn’t even include all the terrible coaches that can’t develop what he does have on the roster.
2011 Dabo was wise enough to do what is needed to win. So how does a 55 year ols Dabo become less wise than he was when he was 40?

if Dabo had done "what everyone else does."
We could be 1-7 for all you know. And if we we're you'd be here saying why Dabo should've never paid so much for all those recruits and portal players.
