The Prodigal Son, Not a Sermon, Just a Lesson

I remember back when Hunter Johnson decided to transfer thinking that this was all part of Dabo’s will and part of his plan. You see, being coached by Dabo is sort of like receiving a great inheritance. It isn’t in gold or silver, but in becoming a better man. Hunter had asked Dabo for that inheritance and went off into the world. He was just like the youngest son in the Biblical Tale.
Meanwhile DJ stayed put, worked incredibly hard, and listened to what Dabo said. There was strife, some games lost, but also much to rejoice about when he went balls deep into the coots. Dabo had a plan for DJ and loved him. DJ is like the older son in the Biblical Tale.
My prayers this morning are that DJ does not make the same mistakes now that young Hunter has returned home. I know that it’s Dabo’s plan to have both these men work the fields together, and create a joyful noise while teaching Cade how a Clemson man plays QB. No matter which QB uses NC State’s db’s like an Instagram model, I hope they all do it the way Dabo intended, with grace and selflessness.
Go Tigers!

Dabo knows which QB is going to go all Joe Craig on the coots this season. It has already been envisioned and we need to just trust and enjoy it all unfold in front of us.

DJ is our QB. Look up how many players we were without last year and tell the world how DJ had anything to do with that.

DJ will get the nod out of camp. Just a matter of whether he can keep it. I just hope if he gets passed over he has the right attitude.

DJ had everything to do with so many poor execution things . I can't believe a sane person can think this way. You're joking right?

Kelly B beat Trevor out of fall camp initially. No, I’m not kidding. Don’t expect Cade to start until at least week 4. Apparently you have to be a genius to be able to run the same 5 predictable plays over and over again. It takes time to learn all 5 of them.

I don't remember us slaughtering the fattened calf for a feast when Hunter came back. I also don't remember DJ getting mad at Dabo for taking him back after he left and spent all his inheritance. If this is true, and we just didn't (we the public) see it, there could be a lot of turmoil behind the scenes right now.

Let me just tell you, DJ was not pleased. He may not have acted out, but he was not pleased about his brother returning home.
And perhaps we didn’t literally slaughter a fattened calf but there was plenty of attention and celebration for dabo’s first incredible dip into the portal. First transfer and he gets the former #1 qb recruit in the country.

three #1 QBs on the team, along with three terrific RBs and maybe the best CFB D ever. So, if we can find an O-line and a few WRs, we just might be in the hunt again....
