this game in terms of our status as a program.
If we get blown out and embarrassed it is an indictment on our program. On the way we do things.
If we play a close game then it proves that Clemson is at least not dead and that our unique (used to be normal) way of building a roster isn't invalidated.
If we win it sends a message and makes a huge statement that should destroy several narratives that the media keeps pushing. This would be one of the biggest regular season wins in my lifetime if we can pull this off. There is a TON riding on this game. Saying otherwise may take the sting of a loss out, but we should admit that this is a test of our status as a program.
Is Paul Finebaum right about us? Is the SEC front-runner vastly superior to an ACC front-runner? Are we dead as an elite program? Or... do we shut everyone up? Does Dabo drop a planet-sized mic on the entire sports media complex and the doubters? Does Clemson prove that not only are we still elite, but that we are elite DESPITE the peer pressure to bid for players and succumb to an uglier future?
This is a massive game. Like the Last Samurai or something.

For me, it is a measuring stick game to see where we are against one of the best. I'm looking for us to get some swagger back and prove we are who we think we are.

The score will not be an indictment of how we do things but will be a test of how our athletes compare to arguably the best program in the nation. In reality, the game is bigger for Georgia than it is for us because of their schedule down the road but is not a must win for either team.

I don’t think we’ll get blown out. I see a close game with a late TD that makes it looks worse than it was .
UGA should recover and go on to have a nice season

And if we get blown out guess what happens? We will play again next Saturday and that UGA loss has zero impact on our chances to win our conference
Will it suck? Sure but anyone coming into this thinking we are going to be the team of 2015-2020 is most likely going to spend the season disappointed

A lot is riding on every game, but your points are valid. For me, it's about seeing if Dabo still has it or if his methods are antiquated.
I'm afraid I have to disagree with some because there is always more pressure on the team that's supposed to be #1 and blow out the other, hungry, strappy team like Clemson.
We must come out firing on all cylinders and playing to win it. WR screens that get blown up and never throw over 10 yards will not.
