The offensive line has been degrading for a few years

We have had generational talent at qb and rb that masked it.
You could see it in TL and ETN’s stats though. Trevor threw more picks and ETN’s rushing yards dwindled.
To the untrained eye it seemed like those two were regressing. In truth there talent was masking a gaping hole in our offense. Now we have average qb and average wideouts and our OL is exposed.
With this defense, just an average middle of the pack OL would be ok, but this unit is the worst all round I’ve seen Clemson put on the field. (I think I’ve seen worse pass blocking one or 2 years, but the run blocking this year is atrocious)
We are not going to get better until we fix the o line. And yes, DJ needs to play better, but we have got to get better in the trenches.

Our talent masked TE and our OL. That said, I really believe in our OL being a strength in a couple of years. Our best talent are freshman and sophomores.

Agree with you, unfinished_sentenc, OL's best years will start showing up in 2022 season, and will be wickedly good (assuming we've got the therapeutics in place to quickly fix COVID infections) for 2023 season.
